Bedalov winery is a small Croatian family winery located in Kaštel Kambelovac, near the city Split, in Dalmatian region of Croatia. We only nurture indigenous vine varieties in our vineyard on south slopes of hill Kozjak in Kaštela. Practicing agriculture and producing handcrafted high-quality organic wines is at the core of our business. We welcome all guests to unique wine experience in the traditional local environment at our wine tasting. All wine tastings are only possible by prior arrangement.
My wife and I called ahead, strongly suggested, and had their wine tasting paired with a tapas plate. They have a second tasting option that includes a full dinner. The owner's daughter hosted the two of us as we sat overlooking the Adriatic and listening to the splashing water on the shore. We took our time and two hours flew by learning about the wines and wine making in Croatia. The wine was excellent, the food perfect, the hosting great and the walk down the beach afterward made a full, beautiful afternoon. Great change of pace from Split. Highly recommend this.

This cylindrically shaped castle with a spectacular tower, was built by Florentine emigres, brothers Jerolim and Nikola Cambi, in 15th century. The fortification provided a safe haven for nearby villagers who settled here over the following centuries. Next to the castle is the family's Renaissance villa with a family crest dating its construction to 1589.
Kastel Kambelovac was originally built for the Cambi family from Split in 1478. Originally it was surrounded by the sea. One of the earliest Castles built in the area of Kastela. As with the other palaces/castles, villagers from the surrounding areas would converge on the seven Castles of Kastela to seek refuge from imminent Turkish attack.
