My husband and I were thrilled to visit this magnificent resort area with private guide Karin Schatzberg from our cruise ship port of Warnemunde. The beach and the boats were beautiful--and interesting shops and restaurants line the quiet street that leads to the beach. We took the Molli Steam Train to get there from Bad Doberan--and that is a treat, too!

Kuhlungsborn - this charming seaside town on the North East Baltic coast is a gem.
Quiet sandy Beaches with wicker work basket beach chairs, and attractive Promenade complete with a light gentle breeze with interesting shops and restaurants. It is a family holiday destination, with chances to relax, and take in the sea air. Boat tips from he long pier to Warnemunde, line dancing demonstrations, and well maintained parks are all part of this enjoyable little town.
And then you see it; a hideous reminder of times only comparatively recent: the East German / Soviet border guards Watch Tower. As recently as 24 years ago this was used to control and spy on the activities of their own people, ensuring that no one escaped across the border to the Capitalist democracy of West Germany.
Chilling and I assume unloved, this is modern history of a sinister nature. There are posters / maps and photographic displays despite this i feel that these reminders of the bad times should be preserved, if only as a lesson to future generations

After a short briefing by our experienced guides we are gliding through and around lovely kuehlungsborn. You'll see the most interesting places and after that we'll have a lot of fun in full speed mode what means pure driving pleasure! Our promise: If you cannot drive within 2mins you'll get your money back!

Incoming Agency for individuals and groups - give me a call and let`s get started.
Karin is OUTSTANDING! She brilliantly worked out and led my husband and me on a highly customized private cruise excursion from Warnemunde. She was early to meet us at our ship, and we first enjoyed a leisurely walk around Warnemunde. Then she took us a scenic bus to tour Bad Doberan and ride its historic Molli Steam Train to seaside Kuhlungsborn, where we walked along the magnificent seashore and had a fabulous lunch. From there, she called a private taxi to take the three of us to the train to visit Rostock, where we walked through the active Market Square and were treated to Karin's most interesting explanation of the incredible astronomical clock that still works perfectly. And all along the way, she found just the right shops for items we needed. We travel extensively and can attest that Karin is truly a TOP-RATE expert who is delightful, warm, kind, and fun. What a joy to tour with a great new friend!

Kleines Kino. Kein guter Sound.
