It was drizzling when we approach the area. Mist was all around, and all of the sudden, this Buddha statue looming out, only partially to our view. This was amazing!
As the sun slowly appeared, the full statue with the surrounding cherry blossom trees in full bloom make us realize that it was not a dream. So beautiful, peaceful and sacred.

We spent an evening with friends at Chateau Kamiya which also has its own Microbrewery. There was a wide range of beers available including a Pale Ale (my favorite), an IPL, Helles, and seasonal beers. They also serve decent pub grub including some really good BBQ wings. They have a beer garden outside which looks like it would be a great place to spend a summer afternoon. Check it out next time you are in Ushiku.

DokiDoki Farm restaurant has become our Sunday lunch treat outing. The ambience has become somewhat like a cafeteria but the food remains to be excellent. Tasty, fresh selection. Our vegetarian friends love it. Adult Y1850, kids (9&11yrs) Y1120. Can become pricey for a larger family so check the group bookings and membership offer. Most of the produce is local so this buffet style focuses on veggie dishes of the season, making it a nice variety each visit. Two hour dining limit and they start packing up at around 2:40. Visit the adjoining supermarket. Some expensive items but you can also pick up plenty of fresh, well priced goods. We buy the local rice when newly harvested. There is often a local selling handmade foods or crafts at the doors. Lady at the plant section is knowledgeable and always like to share advice. Kids love to play in the bamboo yard while mummy shops and talks. Very friendly atmosphere.

Ushiku Nature Park is north of Tokyo in Ibaraki Prefecture. A great place to bird watch, hike the nature trails, and just relax. A nature center there provides a place to see fish tanks and they also have education room for the kids to learn about some of the flora and fauna in the park.

A divorce shrine, the divorce god of the harvest, a temple giving refuge to soon-to-be divorced women and a divorce temple. I stop a bad relationship and make the good match. The bad, it's performed, when it's cut, the good match is the temple where tied prayer is done. Additionally a god of a matchmaking and a god of a good match knot are also enshrined. The person who would like to increase money will wash money with sacred water in money wash Benten where it's in a precinct and pray.
水子地蔵が大きく建っていました。赤い3つの鳥居をくぐって入っていきます。ここは良縁・人形供養等で親しまれています。お寺にきて心清めてお参りすることに意味があると思います。

I think main topic should be Ushiku Swamp.
This garden's on North East of the Swamp. It's very cold here in winter.
But good to see it.
There're some people fishing here under the bridge. The fishing fee is 400Yen for a day or 4,000Yen for a year.
