On a warm, sunny summer evening, we joined guide Eric and a group of about 40 people for the "see the black bear excursion" at 7pm. The price is very reasonable, the whole tour/explanation is in french, but seeing the bears, language is no problem.
After a short introduction by Eric and a five minute stroll, we arrive at a hut in the forest. Here he is already, our first male black bear who feasts on prepared eggs and honey-coated trees. He is just a few yards away and soon "joined" (in a safe distance) by a female bear with her three babies.
You get to take lots of pictures and would even get your money back, if there was no bear sighting.
Best on our evening: After sunrise three racoons observe the bears from a safe distance.
Yes, we would definitively do it again.

The skating entrance fee was $14 per person and they gave us tickets which could be exchanged for 2 tiny jars of their honey. The ice trail was freshly Zambonied slick and was sheltered from the wind. There were benches all around the trails to rest on. It looped and meandered through a wooded area around pens of Lamas, Alpacas, miniature Horse, Cows, Deer and Emus. The black Cow tried to taste me by licking my sleeve and then kept licking the steel fence post. I was expecting it to freeze its tongue and get stuck, but somehow it didn’t. A shaggy maned donkey had a foot long woody and when I got my camera out, he deflated. I guess he was camera shy and didn’t want to show off! Some parts of the trail had a very mild slope. We came upon a branch of the trail with a sign that it was a difficult trail and was only for professionals with a pictogram depicting a skater going uphill. We loop back to the main compound going past a trout pond with a sign advertising fresh trout meals. The main compound had facilities for putting on your skates and the picnic tables seemed to allow you to bring food in to eat. However, they do have a restaurant for you to buy food. Although cost money to skate, it was still a worthy memorable experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. There are loads of different levels to tackle, starting with green and ending on black. The staff were helpful and the training good. It was good value for a family ticket and cheaper than England. The quality of the apparatus was good and the atmosphere relaxed. What more can I say?!

The Prime Minister of Canada received numerous gifts during his official duties. These items, from around the world, were given during meetings and international events with other Heads of State or government officials, some were given to the Prime Minister while travelling across the country, and others by elected officials, representatives of different organizations and well as by citizens. This incredible variety of gifts, which relate a part of history, highlight Canada's place in the world. Furthermore, they are a symbolic trace of the stable dialogue among various nations. The Right Honourable Jean Chrétien, former Prime Minister of Canada, mentioned a while ago it would be legitimate to exhibit the numerous gifts he received during his official duties. We then decided to create a museum which would highlight the importance of international relations and reveal the dialogue between different cultures, while offering at the same time an educational dimension; as wished by Mr. Chrétien, a museum that will innovate by constantly enriching its collections.
Seeing all the gifts given by foreign leaders to Prime Minister Jean Chretien is very interesting and the explanatory panels around the room provide a very informative history of the foreign policy of the Chretien's era. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. The video documentary of the Prime Minister's life was extremely well done. A must see for all Canadians

This place was not on trip advisor and after visiting I MUST add it and write a review. Park is located in the middle of the road from Montreal to Quebec City. Area is called Shawinigan (same as closest big city). There are signs for National Park everywhere so just follow them you cant get lost. Stop at the information center at the begining of the park for map and informations about park. Now it depends on you what would you like to do there are great amount of hiking tracks from easiest to hard. A lot of lakes and ponds at some you can rent canoe/kayak or just BBQ with family end friends. Entry was free because of 150 years aniversary of national parks in Canada. Even there are some small shops in the park I recomend to buy all the food/drinks before you arrive to the park. You can also camp in the park. Enjoy its beautiful!
