Rønde (or Roende) is a town on the southern part of the peninsula, Djursland in Denmark, Northern Europe, 23 kilometers north-east of the north end of Denmark’s second largest city, Århus. It is in part a pendler town to Århus, with a motorway entering Århus from the north. Rønde is located between Århus, and Århus Airport with a 12 kilometer drive from Rønde to the airport.

There are many available walks in the nationalpark. Denmark is quite flat, but in this area it is actually rather hilly in a very charming and not at all very strenous way. The walks are very well signposted and easy to follow. We followed the footpath from the car park near Agri up to Agri Baunehøj, the highest hill in the area. The views are quite stunning, not like the Alps or anything, but the landscape is really nice. The car park is quite big, so plenty of space. There is a toilet there, but it might be a good idea to bring your own toilet paper. Not the best of toilets, not the worst either. Plenty of space for picnics as seems to be the case all over this part of Denmark. There are some really useful maps available from the national park representatives. The map is free and informative. The reps are present with a small stand among other places, in the car park by Kalo Slotsruin.

Scandinavian Wildlife Park is a themed animal park. We have specialized in scandinavian wildlife and we are well-known for our huge parks for polar bears, brown bears, stellers sea eagles and wolves, and a whole lot of other nordic animals. The park covers an area of 470.000 square meters, and is a place where the whole family can get close to animals and get a feel of nature in a realistic way.
We were so impressed with this wildlife park, the animals were kept in large enclosures where they were able to interact with each other with little disturbance from visitors. The public viewing areas gave fantastic views from overhead walkways. The play area catered for both young and old with our grown up children enjoying the assault course and climbing wall. A thoroughly good day out. My only criticism is that the talk given by the keeper at feeding time is only in Danish it wouldn't cost too much to offer handsets to overseas visitors in other languages so that they could hear about the animals too.

Djurs Sommerland - Welcome to Scandinavia’s biggest Summerland. World-class fun for all the family. Get ready for Denmark’s biggest roller coasters, the giant Aqua Park and more than 60 fun rides for all the family. Don’t forget to try DrageKongen, Europe’s fastest and longest family suspended coaster, and two new rides - Jungle Rally and Safaribussen
The park itself is quite nice, with lots of rides and attractions for all ages. Large green areas where you can picnic. Lots of trampolines and play area for the youngest. Pretty big water park too, but this was totally congested when we visited a sunny day in July. All over, be prepared for lots of people and long queues in high season, even to buy ice cream or refreshments.

Visited during exhibition of the furs. But also took occasion to look around. It is an Interesting castle. I recommend to visit it. There is also possibility to organize conferences and meetings in it.

This, according to my guidebook, is the largest round barrow in Denmark. Despite this, the place seemed to be deserted even in the middle of July every time we passed by. We finally got around to stopping. It is not big, the stone circle around it nothing compared to Stonehenge, Newgrange or Callanish. But it is quite charming and fascinating even so. The best part is that you are free to wander between the stones in the circle and even within the burrow. It doesn't even cost a penny!

The ship itself is impressive and very well kept. You can spend hours walking around it. Sometimes there are entertaining arrangements or the possibility of buying food like they made it on the ship when it was operational - check the time table. Great interactive museum in the building - good fun for all ages. There is also a vast souvenir shop with lots of decorating art and crafts. Note: It's not recommended to eat at the very poor and expensive restaurant next to the ship. Service is terrible (kids that don't know anything), food is not home made and prices are steep - walk 5 minutes uptown instead to restaurant "Mellem Jyder" or another place in the old part of Ebeltoft.

Lovely spot to spend some time. Ample car park with clean toilets, cafe and bar on site. Good 10 minute walk across the causeway to the castle mount. You can climb safe stairs inside the castle itself to various viewing points, giving great views.
Lots of birds, seals at the right time of year and great for fishing.
Good spot for picnics around the castle.
