I loved it's beauty and their conservation efforts. They are reintroducing native animals. I'm not sure what all the fencing is about on the trails though. Maybe to keep the wolves and visitors a bit separated.

Beautiful crystal clear water. Good food available at the concession. This is a popular locals beach destination and parking is very hard to obtain. One of the biggest negatives is the beach is not sand, rather fine gravel. Very difficult to walk on with bare feet.

This is the little town that my husband was born in and the beach is simply fantastic. The people are friendly and everyone just has a great time. The best time is when everyone leaves to go home for lunch. If you stay, you will have your own private beach for almost 4 hrs.

There are several walks around the village of Sersale and each has a cost of around 3 euros per head which you pay to the caretaker at the entrance. The canyon walk is downhill from the parking and then can be as long or as short in the acatual canyon but beginners are not advised to walk more than about a half kilometer in the actual canyon. The whole walk down to canyon and back is about 90 mins with many stairs in the ground to get back up.
The gorge was beautiful with clear water and it is possible to swim though very cold. The oevrall walk down and back is max 30 mins and not to difficult in terms of elevation, therefore more ideal for families with children or less able walkers.
