This reminded me of hiking in northern Minnesota. The walk is well lined out with plenty of places to stop alonf the way. My friend that we are with say the water is down. It is the lowest they have ever seen. Take your time and look at it all.

Puerto Fuy at the shore of Lago Pirihueico is a welcoming small town. It is the embarkation/desembarkation port of Lago Pirihueico. You can cross Lago Pirihueico to Puerto Pirihueico in the ferry Hua Hum, reach the border and cross to Argentina through Paso Hua Hum. You can also go to Puerto Pirihueico and return to Puerto Fuy the same day looking at the most marvellous sceneries in the world!

Have fun with the multiple snow activities for all ages and preferences, or just simply play in the snow while you taste a delicious and steamy mug of hot chocolate. Current snow activities to enjoy: ski and snowboard school, free skiing, randonée ski, sledges, snowshoeing, tubbing, glacier ice trekking, snowmobile tours, darwinii tours and much more!
The description of the walk can be obtained from the activities desk in the hotel Nothofagus/Montana Magica.
The walk is along the river and takes at the most 1.5 hrs when you read all the descriptions of the wooden Mapuche statues.
Interesting pieces of history, although the statues are obviously recently made they represent the ones that were made in the past.
Nice forest walk with options to step in the rocks in the river.
Several other attractions such as the walk to the dear park were in reconstruction and the Museo de Volcanos with hundreds of pre-columbian potteries and imitation mine were not very interesting. The brewery was closed for visitors, but the adjoined pizza restaurant was open.

The trip by boat on the lake Pirehueco is a really nice program.
You can take the boat on foot or with the car. Ideal is to book, if you are travelling by car, it is very easy you have to write to [email protected] and they will answer within the day.
It is a 2 and half hour trip, they have a small bar that offers basic, water and coffee.
If by any chance you are walking, on the Pirehueco side it is about 10 km from the boat to the border and customs and further 1 km to the Argentine border and customs.
On the Puerto Fuy side, the port is in the town.

A simple walk for all ages on a clearly marked path which will leed you to some really beautiful views of powerful running rapids and mountainous views. The path, at times, can be slippery so bring proper attire. The accent cannot be more then 300 metes. A few steps maybe be a bit complicated for the elderly but do NOT let that be the reason to not visit. A few water falls maybe visible depending on the rain fall. You only need 30 to make the trek but take the time to enjoy each of the views provided (with benches for resting if needed). You will not need a guide

Lovely 'hobbit' looking building in beautiful surroundings but in desperate need of repair. Despite the name it's not about volcanoes it's about the cultural history of Chile. The roof was leaking, floor wet, artifacts in wet, mouldy cabinets and is only open at certain times in the week - closed on a Monday. An ok way to spend an hour or so if there is nothing else to do.

Mandatory to understand the way of the locals and their very recent history. Remarkable the wooden sculpture of an scene of the not too far away hard days in the village. It is made of just one piece of wood

When was this attraction active? By the way it looks, it will still take them a lot of time to fix and reopen it. It must have been quite a view from the top though, hope it opens again in the near future!

The hotel is constructed primarily of wood. It's name suits it . Excellent buffet evening meals. The rainforest is beautiful with great scenery and excellent places to visit. Take good walking shoes and wet proof clothing.

We invite you to discover the charms of the Patagonian forest in Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve, crossing amazing landscapes of the ecological region of temperate Forests of southern South America. We offer cavalcades to the most experienced people and for those ones who ride horses for the first time. In these rides the Chilean horse is a mainstay because of its evolution in our mountainous.
We spent almost every day riding horses. Breathtaking views of nature are magnified by riding Cabalgatas' horses. Really smart creatures to the point of acting as the best nanny in the world. I was initially a bit concerned about riding through water and narrow passages but the horses knew where they were going and what they were doing-obliging to my kid in an occasional trot. The guides are knowledgeable about flora and history of the areas we were viewing. It is pretty incredible to ride in a dark thickly wooded areas just to come out into wide open fields. No traffic nor noise. Definitely unique and soulful experience. Even the restless and addrenaline seeking youngest followed the horses lead and hummed for 2 hours while calmly enjoying the best views that Huilo Huilo can offer. Horses are rotated for duty and very well kept. We visited the "day off" pasture and didn't want to leave.
