Decent gym within Nay Pyi Taw but high priced. They have a decent spa. They need to price it better and have special offers. Location wise the place is beautiful.

Defense Services Museum

Reviewed By Ian D - Brisbane, Australia

Size is the obvious stunning feature of this "museum" where the thirty plus aircraft are an almost insignificant part! There are many kilometres of drives and several roads to travel between the Air Force section, the Navy section (which includes a lake for the ships) and the Army section. In my allotted hour, I did not even go "inside" any of the buildings - most of which are positioned in commanding positions along the ridge line.
Well worth a visit.

20 Lane Highway

The (in)famous 20-lane semi-deserted highway outside the Parliament Building. There's nothing else quite like it on earth - a must see!

Reviewed By geet219 - Mumbai, India

The 20 Lane is not a big deal but it looks insane as there are negligible vehicles using this road. I usually is completely vacant and you might even go and safely lay down on the road for a picture

Naypyidaw Water Fountain Garden

Went there at day time and paid 1.900 kyat entrance fee (maybe including the parking fee) for 2 pax (and our driver). The park is ok, not very spectacular. However, I think it will be a LOT better at night when the Fountains and Waterfalls are working and lighted.

Thatta Thattaha Maha Bawdi Pagoda

Reviewed By Erik S - Makati, Philippines

The government and the people of Union Republic of Myanmar made an excellent work building this exact replica of the Maha Bodhi Pagoda in India here in Naypyidaw. The seven significant markers in the Buddha's Enlightenment story is found within this Pagoda Complex. The influx of visitors and pilgrims made this site a little bit noisy. I believe there should be English-speaking guides to help tourists and visitors; and observance of silence and reverence should be maintained throughout the complex.

Myoma Market

Reviewed By Netro - Bratislava, Slovakia

Most of the Naypyidaw is empty... due to its vastness. This market was the only place the the capital city which I felt was not artificial. There were lot of people and I felt I'm in the city. There was this city noise, people noise, various smells, lot of vendors.
Definitely a nice place to go before taking a bus from the nearby bus terminal.

The National Musuem

Reviewed By Richardrocks - Norwich, United Kingdom

We popped in here during a morning of "sightseeing" (basically I wanted to see the 20 lane highway, and we did the obligatory visit to the Uppatasanti Pagoda). The museum is large, spacious, built for about a million more visitors than its (currently) getting, air conditioned, quiet, and the displays themselves were varied, generally pretty engaging and well displayed. Overall a pleasant surprise. Nothing earth shattering, but decent enough to be worthy of your support.
