Damavand is the highest mountain in Iran and Middle East and also the highest volcano in Asia. Mount Damavand is the result of volcanic activities at the beginning of the quarter centenary geologic time (Pleistocene stage). Damavand region is one of the most beautiful natural surroundings with fields full of wild poppy and purple lily in spring and long grass in green summer. It is also a rain area having very hard winters, but moderate summers. The summit and slopes are always covered by snow. Due to its conical shape, climbing is possible from all sides. Damavand has different major and minor and mixed climbing routes in its different geographical aspects , but well-known paths are nine. The most frequented are North, North-East, South and West faces. The easiest route is the southern path. On all faces, shelters are provided. In Bargah sevom (the shelter on south face rout) a shop is available. on this route you'll face with the highest frozen waterfall in elevation of 5100 m. Another attractions of this semi active volcano is a sulfur chimney close to the summit. one of my hobby in winter is ski , so in every Friday i sped my time ski and enjoying the nature. My suggestion to travelers to Iran specially Tehran is use this resort . I mention that you should use this resort and after that you should take a tour and go to desert in the south of capital Tehran and stay day for 1 night and after that you should take a plane ticket and go to Kiish or Gheshm island and have a great vacation here in Iran.

For anyone interested in unspoilt nature and very, very few tourists I highly recommend a trek from Lake Ovan to Tonikabon. It was an amazing 6 day trek up to 4200 meters. Great food and wonderful people along the way. Well worth a visit if you are interested in nature, trekking and meeting amazing people.

This place is like heaven between Mountains and really it was difficult to reach as we were family with small children those who got borring from the road specially it was mountain un asphalted roads which made it difficult but at the end when we reached the lake everything changed about thinking.
Very beutiful clean lake with few services available like boats, shops for tea and for snacks. unfortunatly, the people there shooting the prices very high and this was not acceptable at all.
at the returning road, please dont take the shortest way which is really short but very tough specially if you dont have 4WD car.
our driver (mini bus) tried to make the raise of the bus around 20 minutes and got to make it very difficulty.

This area has a small entry fee and has a long winding forest road heading up the mountain (mud and gravel) with excellent forest trails for hiking between the spaced forest trees. There is a large lake with an old relic building in the middle which you can approach in a peddle boat. The nature is fantastic, and there are multiple small local shops selling handicraft and snacks and also many outdoor kebab grills for very reasonable prices. Definitely recommended for a visit.

Originally a farming area, in recent years much of its land was sold in small lots to build numerous villas[4] which are occupied by summer visitors trying to escape the heat of Tehran and points further south.
Its attractions mainly consist of its natural beauty including Alamkooh Mountain (the second tallest peak in Iran (4850 m)), Abbasabad Road, Valasht lake and cooler climate. But picnicking and mountain climbing in the area surrounding Rud-Barak are also popular, as well as in the lush Abbasabad Forest nearby.

there is no need to be an expert on bridge design or construction to surprise when you see Veresk bridge , i think anyone who sees this bridge and imagine the loads of the trains that have passed this bridge at last 80 years no doubt will admire the engineers who had designed and constructed this beautiful bridge . in addition to its pretty and beautiful architecture you will be more surprised when you find its only an arc masonry bridge , without even one kilogram rebar or other steel profiles . as i read bridge height is more than of 100 meters and the span is 66 meters .
Reza Shah , the king who has ordered to build the bridge when the first time saw the bridge ordered the head design engineer and his family stands just under the bridge when the first train passed the bridge to check whether the engineer believes to hos work or not and hopefully there was no failure and Versek bridge is on service still after 80 years .you will find this bridge on your way from Tehran to Shomal (Firooz kooh road ) just at Veresk ( almost mid of the road ) .

If you are looking for a place having fun without shopping center, it is the right place. There are art gallery, strange stuff museum, limited old car museum, book store, cafeteria, and restaurant. The decoration of this building is amazing.
