I went to Belum Caves. A depth in advance of three thousand meters, Belum Caves goes as deep as 46 meters at one point inside the cave, which is known as Pataalaganga. A mysterious underground stream flows all year at this point, gliding over the rocks and hiding beneath the surface again. It is great place to go.

Sri Raghavendra Teertharu is a saint & preacher of Dvaita Philosophy. He was the pontiff of the Madhva Matha which was then known as Vibhudendra Matha for close to 50 years. There are innumerable miracles associated with him and he is known to have blessed people from all walks of life - irrespective of their caste, sect and creed. Mantralayam is the chosen divine place by Rayaru to bless his devotees. The Brindavana at Mantralayam is a beacon for all those seeking both worldly and other-worldly blessings.
We left 3AM in the morning from bangalore and reached Mantralyam aroung 10AM so, stayed at Karnataka Guest House. Most of the accommodation over there are basic and don't expect resort and luxury style. Roads are good till gooty and futher deteriorates till yemigiri. We left Mantralayam around 5AM and reached here by 11AM.

It is around 20 Kms form Nandyal city. It is best to have your own transportation to visit the place. You will be surprised to see few natural water tanks build and well maintained by the temple. Most of the visitors take dip in this water, surprisingly clean. Again the temple is crowded, so you have to buy a ticket for RS.100 to have a peaceful darshan. If you prefer to make a free darshan, it is very time consuming, not recomended if you have limited time.

• Sakshi Ganapati Temple is located on the way to Srisailam.
• An important part of any Srisailam tour, this temple is visited by every devotee who comes to seek blessings of Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy.
• It is believed that a visit to Srisailam goes unrecorded if a devotee doesn’t visit Sakshi Ganapati Temple.
• The main deity of this temple is Lord Ganesha.
• The word Shakshi means the one who witnesses, which is representative of the belief that Lord Ganesha keeps a record of everyone who visits Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga, which is then shown to Lord Shiva.
• Hence, devotees visit this temple to register their visit in front of the Lord Ganesha in order to seek blessings of Lord Shiva.
• The common practice is to visit and offer prayers at Sakshi Ganapati Temple first and then the other temples in Srisailam.
• Once in the temple, devotees inform their gotra and name for the Lord to take a note of.
• The idol of Lord Ganesha is also representative of the belief.
•The black idol of the Lord is shown holding a book in the left hand and a stylus in the right hand as if recording the names of the pilgrims coming to this temple.
• You get fresh forest herbs & plants here .
