A lovely historical place with amazing views from different aspects along the way. There are some lovely forested sections up the top. Unfortunately a lot of it is sectioned off for construction work.

Très intéressant centre de jeux pour les enfants, nombreuses attractions adaptées aux différents âges. Salles réservées pour déguster le gâteau, les consommations prises en attendant sont assez onéreuses. Très bonne idée dans l'ensemble! Babciou.

Discover the strawberry in all its forms. Through four thematic spaces that present its history, its gastronomy, its place in culture and art and its agricultural production. Stroll through our 1/2 ha didactic garden dedicated to little fruits and the orchard. Taste our fruits in the plant! We also have a shop of crafts products with strawberries!
Waipon is famous for their strawberries so it makes sense that there is a museum here dedicated to the growing and production of the fruit. The museum is small--just 5 rooms- but is filled with artifacts and displays about the history of strawberry growing in the region. A short video--available in both French and English recaps the story of strawberries in the region. Staff are friendly and at the end of the tour you can sample locally made strawberry products including a variety of liqueurs. You can also stroll through a small fruit garden adjacent to the museum. I wouldn't make a special trip to visit the museum but if you are in the area, it is definitely worth visiting.

The museum has a modest collection of items found in Roman graves east of Jambes. It's a collections of jars and some glass. Besides there was now an exhibition of modern art which was quite nice (see pictures). Entry is free. The museum is located in two old-looking towers, which is the best part of the site. When visiting Namur, one should consider walking across the bridge to this place.

The outcome of the French-Prussian war of 1870 caused serious revenge feelings between two old opponents. King Léopold II ordered General Brialmont to fortify the cities of Liège and Namur to prepare against a possible attempt to pass through our country coming from the south or from the east. Due to this situation the fortified positions of Liège and Namur came into existence between 1880 and 18
Site à l'excellent travail de l'équipe en charge, le site est beaucoup plaisant actuellement. Les visites sont très bien organisées et encadrées et le matériel didactique beaucoup mieux mis en valeur

17th century baroque, Jesuit church. Fantastic vaulted ceiling, restored to its former glory. One of the 3 locations in Namur of the Vices and Vertus exposition till 21.05.2017. Interesting works of Aidan Salakhova of sculptures in Carrera marble.

If you are interested in very old religious art and in particular gold reliquaries and wooden carvings you will find this small museum worthwhile. It is situated within the city on the main shopping street. There is also interesting information about the building itself and its stucco exterior.

We’d walked through this square several times during our outing in Namur and noticed the statues and Fountains, all seemingly somewhat run-down with the "triste charme" of Belgian towns.
Later at home I learned that two cartoon-figure-looking statues at one end of the square were of cartoon figures created by a native of Namur, and also found out the reason for the huge snail next to one of them: the snail is the patron of Namur.
