The first thing when I saw it speechless. Recommended with two thumbs up. When we saw the lighting it's yellowish in colour but the pictures show green colour.
Better to arrive around 6.30pm so can see the difference of day and night. While waiting for the lights to turn on, you can see the pictures in each room. When going up the staircase do be careful not to hit your head. As usual, have to take off shoes and preference, wear pants cause the steps quite high.

Great to get some fresh air and nature. But you need a motorbike or car to drive its too massive to walk between the different areas, unless you are super super fit then it will take you all day.
Huge Buddha statues. Restaurant at bottom has good food.
But its hard to enjoy during CNY (Feb) typical CN people they go to a clean peaceful place and bring noise & smoke polution, crowds & firecrackers, avoid that time of year.

Had a great time with my Cousin and Daughter. Central shopping was nice. The decor was trendy and modern. Staffs were friendly. A great place to shop. Tuk-Tuk outside the mall gave excellent service. I took one tuk-tuk at 10pm and the driver safely send the three of us back to our hotel.

Magic Museum is full of amazing artifacts from the history up to now. It exhibits magic collections, antique magicians' props, stunning optical illusions, magic mirror and science magic. All the objects and documents on display are authentic and this discovery trail ends with Magic illusion show in theater, only one in Hat Yai
the price comparatively is not cheap at 400baht per pax.but the place has so many interesting pictures for us to take photos and most important they also mark indications as to where to take photo and how to pose with the background..the staff are all courteous and friendly.at the exit i paid only 50baht for a photograph of me and my hubby.if include the frame is only 200baht..very cheap souvenir to bring home.A must come attraction.

This is by far the best bazaar in Hat Yai. The shopping options hera are awesome. many modern clothes. This bazaar has roof on top of it, so you can still shop when it rains. At level 2, a small part is assigned for food court, but they have many options of food both local and some wester-ish dish. but the table is limited and it was full. A definite must go, at least to sample the food.

This is a market within walking distance from Central shopping mall. Takes around 10 minutes to reach and one can get both fresh and dry food. Cashew nuts almonds lotus seed nuts longan and all kinds of nuts available until you go nuts. Food to consume immediately is local and unless you can stomach it then try. It taste good and delicious too but beware it can be spicy. Clothing too can be bought and lots of ladies cosmetic can be bought at the far end of the market. Best to purchase your products from the bigger shops or unless you know the price and quality try your bargaining skill with those along the walk way. Thus us certainly a must when in Hat Yai or else you have not been to Hat Yai. People are all friendly and guess it's with most Thai people.

A visit to the Old Town of Songhkla is a worthwhile experience when you're staying in the area. It's best explored on foot, just wandering around the streets and laneways and discovering the sites of interest along the way. A few interesting examples of street art, temples and architecture.

Yes, they charge you more to be a tourist. We paid 200 THB each, a lot more than locals, but we're ok with that. We went by motorcycles and that has its advantages in that you can park right by the first level, whereas on a busy weekend the cars stretch quite far down the road.
The first level is really for families with young children and older adults, and although quite crowded, there was a safe and friendly feel to it. If you want to get into a less crowded pool, you have to go higher. Don't even think about it if the ground is wet as you have to scamper up quite steep and shiny rock faces, and the path is not always obvious. We got to level three relatively easily and swam in the pools looking out over the rain forest. Flip flops probably not the best footwear.
Next time we take water and go higher. The higher you go, the fewer people there are, and I suspect if you get there early enough you'd have a private bathing area.
Unlike other reviewers, we didn't see much litter at all. The area has plenty of bins, overflowing at times for sure, but used. The food stalls at the bottom are not particularly exciting, so for anything more than ice creams, bring your own food or eat out after the visit.

This is a bit out of town in narrow lanes and cannnot be reached by big buses. There are some beautiful structures around the main statute. This reclining Budha is under a huge roof supported by pillars. hence you cannot get a full picture. And that actually spoils the vision.
There is a description of the making of the monument but the English is all messed up. So its a bit confusing and funny.
Visit this at leisure as its a bit downtown and traffic is bad. It takes approx. 25-30 min to reach here.

Digital mall here. But nothing much here, its less shop open now if compare to my visit last 2 years. There also selling clothes. The sellers here most of them are hard to bargain. You can get cheaper if but at others place.
