this is one of the oldest stone arch Bridges in Sweden and it crosses the river Ätran in the center of Falkenberg. It was built between 1756 and 1761. Until 1914 toll had to be paid when crossing the bridge. This bridge has been elected as most attractive stone bridge of Sweden. Motorcars are only allowed one-way into the city but bicycles and pedestrians can go both ways over the bridge to have the best views on the town center and the fast flowing river where fishermen are catching large salmons.

Right in the heart of Falkenberg, you can take this walk and watch fishermen walk around the river hunting for rare Salmon catches, listen to birdsong all the way around, or why not watch and feed the ducks or visit the sheep in the "minizoo" in Vallarna across the city, enjoy, the walk takes roughly 40 minutes- 1h.

This beach is quite unique it's very shallow in the water you have to walk atleast 50m to take a proper dip in the ocean, the wind doesnt generally strike this place as much as other Beaches and is clean and cozy.

I passed by and stopped in Falkenbergs on my way to Gothenborg on September 7. I found the info office right away, on the main street, close to the centre. There 2 ladies in there, very nice and friendly, I asked one of them for a city map and I was given the whole story. History, atraction, Cathedral and everything there was to know this small town. She told what to do, what to see and where to go, all smiling. She even told me where to park free to avoid paying parking or getting a ticket.
I was surprised to discover how nice this small town was. Thank you for the great briefing!

I'm staying in the "Billy Cabin". It's very warm, inviting, cozy and very clean and fresh. With a country western motive. Horses right out side the door. The whole ranch is clean and well kept. The hosts and personnel are friendly and professional. A good place to stay. I found no negative boxes to check here.
