Just spent an evening here in pleasant family company. We had a varied meat/fish antipasti mix which was very tasty, small sausages, croquettes, baked onions(Yum!!), pepper mixes, mozzarella dish and mussels all well prepared and presented. Attentive service and a pleasant primitivo wine to accompany. The pizza had an excellent baked base and we finished the meal with a creamy sorbet to end the evening.

good pizzeria, excellent service, a bit pricey for being Taranto and far from city center, but was ranked among bests in trip advisor, so i gave it a try. Italy is still the only country in the world to charge the COPERTO !!! So, be aware, always you start the meal, you immediately pay for empty plates and glasses depending on the place you choose to stay ca. 2 euros per person and more and more, on that you calculate the tip to the waiter, if you are 3-4 people 15 euros just fly away from you pocket as somebody steals you, and this idea of being fooled up cannot be swallowed so easily. Besides, the waiter suggests German beer Franziskaner in a place where they really have good local beer, red one, Moretti and a blonde pils version of it. We were 4, ordered 3 pizzas, 2 beers, 2 cokes, 4 arancini and few meatballs (polpette) as starters and paid 52 euros.

Highly recommended place if visiting Taranto. Antipasto di mare exceptional combination of fine sofisticsted tastes, well prepared and served. We had only primo afterwords, both being fantastick ( packeri con fruti di mare and padra with cozze &vongole). Antipasto, 2 primi, 1/2l vino da casa 42eur, which we find good value for money.

sad, horrible atmosphere inside, waited 20 minutes to get the menu cards on the table, while in the restaurant there were only one table served and our table waiting. Pizzas below average, but we were hungry so had to eat. Prices were ok, but still coperto!!! The place is far away from center, in a not so nice neighborhood, and prices were ok.

During our visit in Taranto, we noticed that a lot of restaurants were closed on Monday. However, we found this lunch shop open. Great choices of brown and white sandwiches and ingredients. All super fresh and prepared after you order. Nice staff, however their English is poor - not really an issue. Just look at the wall for the menu, and fill in your order form and give it to the staff. Price is ok, about 6 Euro for a well prepared and tasteful Sandwich. So when you are in the neighbourhood, think about this place.

Around the corner from The Plaza Hotel is a small and friendly beer bar. It opens about 7:00pm and stars serving food at 7:30. Food mostly consists of cured local meats, cheeses and salads. Everything we tried was good...Large meat platter, two salads, Sandwich, 3 beers and 2 wines $45 euros. Large selection of beers in btls and 6 on tap. Service is good and very friendly. Portions are large and of high quality. Nice place.

SUD is a place with strong character, where a refined cuisine, an amazing bar and a lot of music meet each other. Design environment with patio and location for dj sets. Instinctive but rigorous cuisine with dishes that are extremely balanced and amazing at the same time and that features a great deal of attention to traditional recipes and modern and natural cooking methods. Short supply chain with garden products and own production of everything that is served, including bread, cakes and ice creams. Large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Easy parking, children's menu, no service fee or other charges. Benvenuti a SUD.
This gem restaurant is providing excellent service and wonderful food. Love their friendly attitude, and the quality of the food stands out. Whilst eating you can enjoy great live music which is a good touch!! High reccomend folks!!
