If you have an overcast day in mid Portugal, what better way to spend it than with a fine ding experience at a fraction of the cost. The food is fabulous, the wine great ( and you can purchase on site ), the staff are exceptional, especially young 18 year old enthusiastic waitress, she was a very good find by the manager. We visited last year and had an equally good time, this year, was helped by the staff having better English than we had Portuguese. We were able, after lunch to purchase some of the excellent wines provided for our meal. Well done restaurant Cabriz, we are booked to come again next year so will be back. Thank you .

Lovely natural ambience. Homely traditional Portuguese food. Speciality lamb dish was very tasty. Service was very pleasant & menu was in English if required. Great wine recommended by the waiter & as you'd expect in this area of Portugal great value for money. Also properly laid tables which is sometimes hard to find in this area. Highly recommend .

As we got the visit of a few friends from Belgium, we decided to have a meal at noon in the restaurant “Nova Cidade” in Santa Comba Dão.
We had as a dish of the day the choice in between pork meat (ham), rabbit and fish. Two of us took the rabbit, tree were going for the pork dish and one for the fish. We started with a vegetable soup, than the day dish, than we took a dessert and ended up with a nice cup of coffee. And everybody left the restaurant with satisfaction, so we once again can warmly recommend the service of this restaurant.

Para mim o restaurante é razoável...é bem serviço, preço acessível... mas senti pouco o espirito de simpatia e acolhimento, embora não tenha sido mal atendido.

The place is crowded and there's a reason for that: they serve you good food at affordable prices. We went there with a party of 8 and had to wait a short and very reasonable time before being seated. We ordered and received drinks and food swiftly ... and correctly! We had a nice meal, but we had ordered more than we could eat... so the owner provided us with take away boxes.
All in all: a job well done.

Simple and welcoming space, has a menu with various regional dishes. Cod to stop, rice cod tongues, roast lamb, veal loaf of the lagareiro ... Closing day: Tuesday
With a lot of people today but with a big smile! All employees brings us happiness even to kids.... Filipe is the owner and chef! Feel free to portuguese bacalhau ... :) Enjoy it and give the rate...

The restaurant is located in the centre of Santa Comba, small but cosy room. The owner created an memory-altar for Salazar (ex-prime minister before democracy) in a corner. Food is traditional portuguese, with a pleasant taste, but high in calories. On two occasions we were given a bill that was erroneously higher than justified.

A pleasant little restaurant with excellent locally produced meats. You walk in past the kitchen and grill to a nice little room tightly packed with white table cloth service and have a choice of fine beef or pork cuts from the grill. There is also fish, but meat is the thing here. They have a very nice wine selection to suit even a fussy connoisseur.
