Gyani Dhaba is a restaurant/motel located 200 mtrs ahead of the Kasauli T-Point. The place serves to the people going to Shimla and other places ahead. The cuisine is Dhaba Food which means the usual Dal & Paneer dishes. Along with that they also serve "Lemon Chicken" which is the signature dish. The place serves the best Chicken Curry on that stretch of road to Shimla. Apart from the food, you can also get all kind of Candy's & Drinks(Local or Imported at this place).
This is the best place to eat at Dharampur. Do try the yummy tandoori paranthas with butter and tea, the best ull get on Chandigarh Shimla Highway. Non-Veg dishes are also good for lunch and dinner. Overall it's a good place for meals. You might have to wait for your turn because usually all the tables are occupied.
However, currently this place is under renovation/ relocation due to widening of Highway.
Hope to see it in a new avatar SooN.

This place is the oldest coffe house of solan and this is the only place where we used to get a good south indian food, with time things have changed but this place embarks its presence as it is, it is a family and friends place to hangout.

Right on the highway road to Shimla this restaurant makes for the ideal halt for meals on the way. Spacious and comfortable and with efficient and courteous service. Good variety of items on offer at very good quantities and very reasonable prices.

Basically, it is just an outlet selling frozen food. So, the choice of menu is extremely limited. You can get some sea-food if you are a connoisseur.

Hangout is a Roof Top Bar cum Restaurant and the most happening place specially in the evenings. It has a very romantic ambience, a DJ plays English and Hindi songs almost all evenings. Stags are not allowed strictly to make the place suitable for couples and females.Recently we have installed a Telescope imported from USA for viewing of Moon in the evenings or near by towns in the day, which is liked by the guests enjoying their evenings.
We went to Hangout in Hotel Kasauli Regency with high expectations after checking out the Trip Advisor reviews. It’s rare that your high expectations are met and even rarer when they are surpassed.
I cannot recommend Hangout highly enough, it’s set in a beautiful location with gorgeous views of the hills. It was windy and also extremely cosy because of its interiors.
I have to mention Mr. Pradeep who took care of our table. His service was top notch, he was polite and courteous and also very competent at his job.
The food was really good too. Try the Lemon Chicken, Chopsuey, Fried rice and even the Butter Chicken. These are fairly common dishes but it’s not common to find such good food in a city like Kasauli. The food was fresh, hot and delicious.
I also have to complement the music that was playing in the restaurant, it livened up our lunch like nothing else. It’s a youthful and energetic place and I will be returning with my friends for dinner very soon.
The portion sizes are small so keep that in mind and the restaurant is on the fourth floor without an elevator. But the climb is totally worth it.
Highly recommended from a soon-to-be repeat customer.

The restaurant is quite pleasant, with lovely carved wooden ceilings and pillars, wooden furniture and comfortable couches. It's quite spacious, too. The views are excellent. I just stopped in for a snack and had a salt lassi, which was quite good. There is wifi, but no one there at that time who knew the password, so I couldn't use it.
Since I was never here before, I have no comparison, but it seems to be one of the more upscale restaurants in Solan. Everything was neat and clean.

Pizzas offered are not very good, perhaps in a bid to cut costs. But, ultimately, it is the quality that suffers.
The menu, and pricing, is probably designed keeping in mind the large student population around as it supposedly caters to three universities.
Very little to like about them.

This is new start-up .. hardly been there for more than a couple of months... It is slightly more than a roadside eatery with few chairs and a shed to sit around...
The owner Mr. Shankar Ghosh is a very friendly host.. who will try go an extra mile to make you comfortable.... though we should understand that his means are limited....
The Pizza's on offer are fresh.. both base and toppings and are baked in a clay and brick oven....
Pizza are very tasty and the smokey touch enhances its experience...
though it is not a typically himachali or local food, but if you want to try hands at a pizza different from those typical pizza hut and dominos then we would definitely recommend a stopover ....
Location: If going from Chandigarh to Shimla, it around 4 or 5 kms before Jabli town on your left ....

This place is good for continental food and Indian starters. Ambiance is awesome and service is quick. Staff is trained and prices are reasonable. Seating is comfortable. We had nice time at this restaurant. Thanks
