After Reading great reviews, hearing some hype about this place and tried so many other places in the Island, we were excited to go check Konoba Mate out. Pretty nice setup Seating next to a vine with uniquely shaped grapes hanging of off it I haven't seen before. I would have preferred benches with some back support though. We ordered all the dishes up front. For starters, we ordered their famous grilled goat cheese-filled figs wrapped in a bacon strip. Pretty innovative and interesting combo of flavors, but they were delivered cold. And it only went downhill from there. After 1hr and 40 minutes after arriving, we were served the main course. Despite being quite used to Dalmatian take-it-easy style (we are on vacation afterall), we thought this was quite excessive. It was also interesting that a group that arrived after us was served the main course ahead of us. Nobody came and even asked if we need anything or explain the wait. Kids ordered their goat cheese ravioli with sage which they claimed were tasty although they said they could easily master another piece of two (you get 6 pieces per person). My wife scored it with tuna pašticada that was very tasty and well executed - it was also the dish recommended by our friends who go to Mate regularly. It was also plentiful, we all had a try. I got the short end of the deal by ordering grilled lamb and an order of grilled vegetables. I've had this dish elsewhere but this is the first time it consisted of about 50% bones (see pics). The only one grateful was my dog who seems grateful after crashing them. The grilled vegetables were completely cold - also the first. I noticed they charged us for bread (we only ate a couple of pieces) which many restaurants still don't do. I find it kind of silly to be charged for it with not an inexpensive meal knowing how cheap the bread in Croatia is.
I probably would have written this review if the waiter upon me telling him about the wait and lamb and that he can't expect we will return, responded with something more customer-friendly than: I won't return next year either. I paid the bill but will be spending my money elsewhere on the Island as there are plenty other great choices.

We read mixed reviews on LD but was highly recommended by another restaurant Silk and our group could not have been happier. We had prompt and friendly service - meals were delicious including the scallops and scamp bisque followed by succulent and tender lamb and veal steak. Friends tried the moderm macaroni truffles - squid also very yummy. All in all sitting outside on Terrace very enjoyable. Wine list high quality (but not cheap) - meal price not cheap but definitely reflects the food quality and service. Our groups best meal in Croatia.

We had a great meal at this unusual place. We sat at the window and enjoyed the breeze. A great selection of seafood but we started with a selection of anchovies, cheeses, olives and salad.
We enjoyed the whole dining experience and especially appreciated the friendly service from the young guy serving and the local version of grappa at the end of the meal.

Cute little restaurant on the outer edge of Brna Harbor with perfectly good seafood salads and wonderful mixed grill and outstanding fries (chips for the UK). But the service is diabolically slow. Eat here only if you don't mind waiting, and waiting some more, for your food to arrive.

Openining garden gates for a new season 1st of June
The cafe's location is outstanding since the view is definitely something to remember. However, somehow it lacked spirit. The combination of modern and cosy furniture and traditional building with the picturesque garden is a great design idea. Moreover, their lemonade is simply perfect. All in all, this place offers drinks of great value for their price but it is still missing that something which could make it a five star venue.

Škver is a place You can always pop-in.. we serve breakfasts, brunch, lunch and dinner on a very popular prices. Every day we provide two daily meals for 30 kn only.. Has a very charming Terrace in a very center of Korčula, but hidden, so You have very intimate atmosphere.. Škver is a place that local people choose to go to.. That is why is interesting to our foreign guests, too
This is a lovely little place to eat and relax, tucked away in the alleyway before entering the old town. The octopus capacchio and squid salad were both delicious and the lamb chops tasty, albeit a little greesey. We were both hoping for the special pasticada but were told it was not on the menu that evening, which was disappointing given such a small menu to start with. The service was a little slow but it was just 1 waiter doing all the work so it wasn't to be helped and he was very polite and working hard. A very pleasant meal and atmosphere.

In the archipelag of Kornati national park with no regular connection with the land there is a perfect place where you can eat. They wave a big variety of fresh fish, lobster and even meet. Preparation is excellent, simply without unnecessary additional spices. You can feel real taste of food.
Wine card is quite various for souch kind of place.
Congratulation!

A great offer of the best local wines with superb cheese, smoked ham, salted fish and olive oil. The possibility of wine tasting.
Peter the owner was super nice, helpful, knowledgeable and sorted us out with 4 different glasses of wine, supplemented with little extra tastes as we are wine people. Bought a bottle and left happy. Would return again definitely.

The first and only true Asian restaurant on the island that saw the birth of the great Explorer Marco Polo. Come and try amazingly simple and fresh pan-Asian street food prepared à la minute.
This is a great place to eat the food is cooked to order but as you would expect comes out of the kitchen in no particular order so starters and mains all at once just like the Far East. All the dishes are spot on freshly cooked and prepared, the taste is amazing and nothing was left from our mixtures of 6 dishes from chicken to duck to dim sum. It's not what you would expect to find here in Croatia but it's a break from all the locals dishes which are equivalent as good but can be quite samey, no disrespect though. Tables are bench style right on the street and people watching is perfect.
