Standing about 10 miles southwest of Stuttgart and now known mostly as an automobile industry center (especially for DaimlerChrysler and Smart), Sindelfingen has a long history, some of which can still be witnessed firsthand. The Romanesque St. Martin’s Church dates from the 11th century, while the old Rathaus (city hall) is now the municipal museum. Other Altstadt (old town) sites include the unique Schwätzweiber (gossiping women) statue and the Fachwerkhäusern (half timbered houses).

I was with a friend, ordered Lamb kleftiko, johannisbeer nektar, fried calamari and something..the food was OK..i would not say extra-ordinary but OK. The worst part was they didn't except ATM cards so my friend has to pay for me. Service was good as they offered free shots. The atmosphere is really compact and loud. I would come again despite of the compact ambience but with cash!

Our fie
Rest meal on Germany was last night. We had plans for somewhere else since this place we thought you had to have a reservation. Well stop 1 was closed so on we went for a walk to another spot. We came across this lovely spot. The atmosphere, waiter, and food for simple fabulous. They had outside Seating set up across the street which was lovely. After being in the hot and humid temps if the US this was a welcomed sight to be able to sit outdoors. Food was amazing. Started first with a sampling from the chef of a creamy Carrot soup. Not too creamy at all topped with some green onion, what a great start to the meal. Followed by a quick side salad, then the main course. Our table of 4 had the schnitzel (2), with potatoes, pork cheeks with Spatzel, and whole trout with root veggies. For desert we had the chocolate mouse, and elderflower ice cream. I can't tell you how good everything was and I will be visiting again before we more to our next location.
Highly recommended!!!

I just went here for a drink. We sat outside with views of the lake. It was quite busy because the weather was nice and there was a nice chill vibe. I particularly liked the old-school beer benchs. I ordered a passion fruit weisenbier that was really tasty and refreshing. I definitely plan on going back to try some other drinks and food.

Last night was our fourth visit spaced out over three years. The atmosphere and food never fail. Great service, great hot, fresh and affordable food. Gemutlikite at it's best. Kid friendly with an adjoining playground. Excellent brewed on site beer.

We went without Reservations at 7:30 and got seated immediately! We knew how slow service is in Germany, however, this place proved us wrong. The atmosphere was very Asian like. The wait staff spoke good English and they accepted Euro and Visa/MasterCard. I got #86- prawn, garlic green beans with vegetables. Hubby got #65- spicy beef with vegetables. We got the kids #122- soup, chicken fried rice, and ice cream. All dishes were fantastic and plentiful! Tom Kah soup was one of the best my husband has had! We will definitely be returning to try the curry.

Altstadtlokal Funzel is located in the center, close to hotels, bus and S-Bahn. The rations are huuuuuge, so 3 can easily share for 2. Very good value, e.g. Spätzle for 1,5 persons (!) for 11 Euro... The food is very good, typical German, served quickly and with a smile. An not to mention the beer ....

Heard this place had great steaks & was reasonably priced so our 'supper club' wanted to give it a go...as you can see steaks/meals were amazing...service was polite & efficient even with our large group of 13 & the place was packed...recommend Reservations... Downside--parking a bit difficult & we were charred €2.50 for empty plates to share an order in...

Great atmosphere, service, wine list, and food. I had the truffle pasta and ravioli (half and half) as my main, and it was just like having it in N. Italy. Very well done!
I don't normally eat dessert, but my waitress encouraged me to to the homemade tiramisu. I was sooo glad I did. Really delicious with a coffee.

My co-workers don't speak German so the waiter kind of ignored them at first. When I came in and started talking German, he looked really relieved he didn't have to continue in English. My penne all'arrabiata is supposed to be spicy which I like but it was a bit too spicy. The homemade pasta was NOT homemade like it was mentioned in the menu and it was not so good. The pizza of my other co-worker had all the cheese in the middle instead of all around. The desserts especially the chocolade souffle, were good and tasty. We did have to wait a long time between the entrees and the main dishes and the waiter never came to our table and asked if we needed anything. I was kind of dissapointec with the service.
