A very popular restaurant specialising in seafood. The menu is essentially in Spanish with a little English translation. If your Spanish is poor, as mine is, you need to be a little wary of the translations as they are not literal. For example, a breaded fish plate turned out to be a selection of lightly breaded fish, prawns and octopus. All very well cooked but not quite what we assumed.
The service and quality is excellent. The food is very reasonably priced and it was good value for money. Recommended with that caveat.

El símbolo del bar es una mujer marinera.
Staying 1 week here in el toyo to visit family. We tried different places, La Maroma is definitively top 2. You can have tapas of full dishes, the restaurant speciality is seafood, in particular Calamar. We ate really well and enjoyed the service.

A very busy restaurant with traditional Spanish food, great paella and fresh produce. Lots of fish and steaks on the menu. Vegetarians have a limited choice, but the veduras a la planchas are excellent. Service can be slow due to the volume of people. Great wine menu! Bar is also great for tapas and hanging out. Beer garden in back plays live music in the summer.

We have visited this place a couple of times during our stay nearby, and today we stayed for food.
For 4 of us, we went for a mixture of dishes in the absence of tapas. We ordered fresh sardines, gambas, patatas picantitos, & grilled calamari. All this came with bread and small pickles.
Everything was cooked well and very tasty. The fresh sardines were delicious.
The seafront location is amazing and the views are worth lingering over.
Definitely worth a visit.

We were very keen to eat when we arrived at the beach at lunch time. Henrock was close and the smells were interesting.
We ordered beer and perused the menu. Interesting. We ordered Bonita, salad and fried calamari.
Wow. Great food. Fresh, tasty and served quickly by friendly staff.
What a superb surprise this place was.
We are here three times. Each was great. The paella was wonderful.
As I said before. A real surprise on the beach.

as always a really good meal at meson pepa, a warm welcome by Christos , lovely salad and omelette , a good time to visit Sam Juan de los Terreros a wonderful village and with lots of restaurants Meson pepa being one , always a good meal but check your receipt as when busy errors can occur Also the stray cats are a bit of a nuisance generally in the evening. Meson Pepa's garden is now open for the summer season last week which was very nice lots of fireworks and fun.

Despite the name, the restaurant offers a mixed European menu with an emphasis on dishes from Belgium - good service, well balanced dishes and certainly a restaurant worth revisiting. The special buffet on irregular Sundays with live music is great value for money while dining in the evenings offers great food although at a more premium price.

The restaurant is somewhat off the beaten track although it is next to the sea in quite a spectacular setting. I had been there before with friends and, initially, we were disappointed to find that the menu of the day was not available because it was a public holiday. The lunch menu offered us was, however, of a reasonable size and I had no problem choosing. We started with a salad for four and then I had the calamari - which could be a problem to many restaurants. Mine was delicious and wonderfully tender and this was the best calamari I have had for a long time. My beer was interesting in that it was dark and tasted like a British bitter, making a refreshing change from the universal lager which is served in Europe masquerading as beer. The place was extremely busy (perhaps because of the public holiday) and I counted well over one hundred diners filling all the tables. The place obviously has a reputation (it is certainly not situated in a tourist centre) and, when I am in the area again (as I hope to be!), I would certainly come again as I really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere.

All of the beach bars in San Juan de los terreros are excellent quality, but Perichon is delicious, great choice of menu, Tomato, garlic and bread starter is a must have.
