We were celebrating a 90 year birthday with 27 guests. Food was great (dyrekøllen in particular), dessert (iskage) was tasty, the service very nice and altogether we had a wonderful time, just as we had hoped for. The owner took time to make it special, the servers made everything flow, and we all left from a fabulous evening. Recommend this place wholeheartedly.

This restaurant has average food at average prices. The decor is a little bland and lacks atmosphere. The members of the staff are busy trying to get as many customers through the restaurant as possible, especially around Christmas time and on Thursdays when they serve the typical Danish dish "stegt flæsk med persillesovs". If you are in the area and want a no frills meal, go ahead, but don't drive out of your way to visit this places. There are many inns in the area that are much cosier and just as affordable.

There are higher-priced restaurants in Løkken, but none offer the bang-for-the-buck you'll find at Cafe Frandsen. The food is good, the beer selection excellent and the bar well stocked. I'm a native Texan, love my barbecue, and was very impressed with the pulled pork Sandwich.
Factor in the friendly staff and you can't beat the place. I will return.

Newly established gourmet fish restaurant on the west coast of Jutland
This restaurant opened in the first part of 2012 with the wish, to serve the best fish dishes possible, so clode the the waters where is (also) catched. They have a second-to-none fish buffet, and also with meat for those who don't find fish good. On top at that, they have a desert buffet included in the very moderate price of around 20 € (almost 30 $). Wine also at affordable prices - and then you may top it off with coffee to go with the Deserts. All is fredhly made, and refilled with small intervals. The staff is extremely nice and well manered, so I can only say: Go, go go!

Went there with my family. Setting and location is good and cosy in the centre.
We ordered from the kids menu to the children - was delivered fast and appeared to have undergo a succesful transformation from freezer via deep fry to the table. Food was OK.
Starters was OK. Soup and prawns for the adults - the condiments did hardly match (whipped cream to the soup and rocket salad to the prawns) - seldom seen combination for a reason
We had the catch of the day, served with fresh new potatoes. The fish came deepfried, potatoes were reheated. In short the main course was OK, but it didn't really live up to the expectations.
If I should be honest, I was left with the impression that the kitchen could do better or simply just survive by cosy setting and a season business with high fluctuation in guests

This, on the smaller side, restaurant serves fresh fish of excellent quality and taste, and with a top service. We're really talking slow food, as everything is prepared (they tell me) when you order. The fish is often caught during the night, so it's totally fresh - and you can taste that. A place to revisit again and again.
But they do serve meat also - but who goes to a fish restautant for meat anyway.
Price is not on the low side, but quality costs, and you do get full value for your money!!

"På Restaurant Lokken Badehotel får du en autentisk oplevelse af traditionel dansk mad med franske noter tilberedt med lokale råvarer og et sprojt af Vesterhav, serveret i historiefortaellende omgivelser".
Great brunch offer fro 129 DKK incl. beverages. It is a great way to start the day traveling along Denmark's west coast and enjoying the rough nature by the sea. Staff was friendly, and the brunch buffet included fish, prawns, cheeses, several varieties of freshly baked bread, lever pate, fruit and different Danish pastries.

Welcome to Sottovento - the italian restaurant in Blokhus. We offer a wide range of delicious dishes from starters, pasta, pizza, main courses with either fish or meat and a nice selection of italian wines, beers and soft drinks, all served in a familiar and cosy environment.
If you happen to go to Aalborg or AAhurus, do not be lazy and push yourselves to Blockhus. Here you will find a real treasure. A beach still quite natural that overlooks Norway. A place to discover. Here you will find a restaurant that stands on a small hill: Sottovento. Here you will find some wonderful people ready to welcome you like a big family. It seems that time stands still in this place and that everything has more importance. The food is fabulous and there is so much choice really. The atmosphere is serene and romantic, cozy and clean. The owners are really people and the way they stop willingly give away a piece of their beautiful Italy. We gladly go back whenever we can, even in winter. The pizza is very good, but everything else. We never tire of trying new dishes.
We recommend it to all, both couples and families as well as groups of friends, parties, events ... is really suitable for everyone. In winter it's really impressive. We advise you to book if you are in a group.
