Saint-Ursanne is an old town and a former municipality of the district of Porrentruy in the canton of Jura, Switzerland which has preserved much of its medieval character. The town contains many historical buildings, including a Romanesque abbey church, a collegiate church, a cloister, many medieval houses, a hermitage and an 18th-century bridge. The river Doubs makes a loop near Saint-Ursanne before flowing into France. Since 2009 Saint-Ursanne has been a part of the new municipality Clos du Doubs.

Restaurant modern und kalt..keine Ambiance...Wirtin Sehr dominat und unfreundlich

Patience... the castle is a little difficult to find perched on a rocky hill overlooking the village and surrounding countryside; but once through the bailey's gates and in the courtyard overshadowed by the impressive keep tower, you know the trip was worth it. After being met at the door by the chef and seated by the chef's wife, you could be distracted by the need for the interiors to be freshened up a tad, but don't be - the action is on the plate! Fresh local produce is prepared and cooked with inspiration and attention, carefully presented and accompanied with a good selection of Swiss and French wines. After your meal I highly recommend climbing up the tower as view is fantastic. Reserve, especially weekends and festive periods.

Food very good, lovely atmosphere, nice waitress. Prices are very good, i had a total meal (salad, meat, dessert..and not commun ones, plus wine and water) for less than 60 chf.
If your stayin in the area is the best place for qualiti/price/presentation of dishes/ambiace.
There is a lot of space if you want to have a party dinner or so.

The hotel building looks rather unimpressive, however a glance at the tempting menu convinced me in having dinner here.
The dining room is small and a little too dark. However this is offset by the polite welcome and friendly service during the whole dinner.
Food was really tasty.
As starter I chose a mixed salad - fresh and generous portion. As main course I enjoyed a truly delicious risotto with Tête de Moine cheese and local Ajoie sausage.
Arriving by train is very convenient as the restaurant is right across Glovelier railway station.

We were driving when we visited, but this hotel and restaurant is right by the railway station so very convenient for train travellers.
We had stayed there before and were passing through so thought we would stop for lunch. There is parking at the back and front and plenty of space to sit in two areas inside plus tables outside.
On weekday lunchtimes there is a good value set meal with several options which we took. Service was superb and we look forward to our next visit.

Un excellent restaurant familial ou la cuisine y est parfaite! Pratiquement tout est fait maison....mayonnaise,frite, glace,etc.....
Nous nous sommes régalé!
Le service aussi est parfait!

I can't say a bad thing about this restaurant! Doesn't look much from the outside but the food was insane! You must try the local trout, cooked to perfection with sage and butter. The steak, wow, so tasty with the most insane mushroom sauce, washed down with superb Swiss wine!
This is an absolute must!

WE had dinner here right on the Terrace looking on the Doubs. Service was fast, friendly and we enjoyed the tart flambee for starters and fish as main. Good selection of wine and in total food experience and service where great. Prices where again for Swiss standards ok and not massively "overpriced'
