If you happen to find yourself nearby and you like good Chinese food, make the trip to Chun Lin. I had Won Ton Soup, Kung Pao Chicken, and a bok choy vegetable dish. All were excellent. There is no English on the menu, but the staff was very kind in translating for me. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Clearly it is a local favorite as there were roughly 10 customers waiting for take-out when I arrived at 7:00 on a Sunday evening.

This restaurant offered good food at reasonable prices. The staff was very friendly but the dinner area was not very romantic. It is okay for normal use.

My wife and I ate here in March 2014 for the 2nd time - in fact we drove a long distance to the Achterhoek section of the Netherlands especially to be able to eat here again.
Yvonne, who runs the restaurant together with her husband & chef Barry, is an extremely hospitable and warm-hearted hostess, who will go through great lengths to make her guests feel at home. She even invited us to come and have a look at the newly revised section in the back of the restaurant, which has been improved considerably and is now more in style with the Canadian homely look and feel of the front of the restaurant (although for some reviewers the deco is a bit too much - we were fine with it and after all, this is a Canadian restaurant). Like our previous meal, we thoroughly enjoyed the culinary experience and nice atmosphere, starting off with Canadian whisky and good wines. We both enjoyed the buffalo pastrami as our starter. Mains for my wife was the Alaska salmonfilet with maple/mustard crust in a Grand Marnier & orange sauce, while I chose the Caribou filet with Saskatoon berries. Both were super, and done to perfection. These were accompanied by potato wedges, their famous pears in Maple sauce (I had to stop my wife from eating all of it as I also wanted some), cooked vegetables and salad. This great meal ended with one Grand Dessert - shared between us - again a big treat.
Total bill including a bottle of very good red wine was around € 100.
We will definitely be back!

The owners of the B&B (Haas in de Bedstee) we were staying at recommended this restaurant to us. The restaurant looks like a former farm house, and has a large quiet garden, where we had an aperitive and some snacks. The lady who owns the restaurant greeted us warmly and gave us advice about our choice of food and wines. Strangely enough for the warm August month, most dishes on the menu were "wintery" dishes, like stews, meats with heavy sauces, classic French. We dined inside in their patio, which is spacious and since one of us moves around in a wheelchair, that worked really well. The interior has green and yellow colours, plastic lilies in silver vases. They have a large selection of wines, and we picked a nice Meursault. Overall a nice dining experience.

Came into Lochem late in the evening and saw this restaurant in the center square. Service was friendly and very good. Food was also very, very good - almost too much. The location, the service and the food meant that we will definitely come back.

So pancakes, Dutch pancakes are a rather cheap product. Flour, eggs, milk and then toppings (normally sweet but can also be served with vegetable). It does not explain the price for some of the pancakes (around 16 euros). Given the place is nice, really nice and the staff is friendly. I would recommend lowering the price and make profit on volume not on units. Simple math and happier more frequent returning customers!

We have enjoyed now several times in autumn the so called 10 courses game menu - for a full evening you will be entertained with small dishes, accompanied with a wine arrangement if you choose so. The courses served are often original combinations of flavours. Excellent!

Nicely located in old city center of Borculo, a small place in the East of Holland. Owned by same owner as the next door "Stenen Tafel" a nearly a *** restaurant. Great dishes, great choice of wine, friendly and professinal service. They have a beautifull Terrace at the backside's waterfront with views to a centuries old water-mill Lunch dishes are brilliant as well. Overall very pleasant,, good quality and affordable. Not cheap !

Had dinner here with my wife and daughter. The place specializes in meat dishes and offer classic plates. I had the Tournedos and it was fantastic. Plenty of tasty side dishes too! My wife had the 'old-fashioned' Asparagus plate with ham, egg and potatoes. My daughter had a side of spare ribs with fries and salad. Everything was fresh and well-prepared. Red house wine was very good. Service was quick and friendly. Great place!

We ordered a simple meal, sate menu with salad and fries. The chicken was just done, but still very white. The sate sauce was very thin and runny. The fries and salad were OK. The restaurant also feels old and run down. Would not eat here again.
