Under new Administration from 1 November 2012-Pipa's Beach is a Bar & Restaurant specialized in fresh seafood, cold beers, variety of drinks and tasty coctails. Ideal for families, groups and couples. Located about 1.5hr from Panama city, 20 minutes walk on the beach from Decameron Resort in Playa Blanca, Panama and 5-10 minute drive from Playa Blanca Resort. If you have a group reservation we will pay for your taxi transport from either hotel. Come and enjoy one of the best Beaches in the Panamanian Pacific Coast! We are open from 11am. Dinner by reservation.
In spite of paying 20 USD for a sunchair and an umbrella (of course sin cuenta), nobody showed the slightest interest to wipe the dirt off the sunchair. Beach acceptable, although swimming impossible. Lots of stray dogs. Food and serving acceptable.

I just love the food here at Los Camisones. If you like paella this is the place. It’s best to call ahead and order because it takes 45 minutes to an hour to make. The French onion soup is fantastic. And the topper is Langostinos a la sal. It’s shrimp cooked in salt, trust me try it.

Visited Nico's Beach Bar (formerly Woody's) twice on this trip.
Fillipa and his wife are the new owners and are most hospitable and gracious. Nicos is named after their son. Daseo the chef and his wife are excellent hosts as well.
We visited in a Friday nite when the rock and roll band was playing and we had a blast. Joined a number of Canadian expats couples and danced the night away. Good food and beverages.
You need to get off the resorts and visit Nicos. Nothing like a party and dancing on the beach.

Proudly from Panamanian Pacific and Caribbean since 2000 specializes in seafood, homemade food, simple
This place is rated 1 on trip advisor. Location was good. Owner and staff very friendly and attentive. Good service. Starters were disappointing. I had breaded calamari and my partner had cocktail of prawns. Both were very average.
Main course was much better. I had the very popular 'Sexy lobster' which was very good and tasty. My partner had surf and turf which was also very good.
Dessert ok.
Very pleasant evening.

In our restaurant we serve food from around the world. We cook with only natural and fresh ingridients. We can adjust to dietary needs when ever posible. Our Bed & Breakfast have 5 rooms with queen size beds for the most part, primate baths, hot water, free wifi, and includes hot breakfast
Jorge runs a great place and will accomodate almost anything. There is only a handful of good restaurants in Volcan which Mana is one of. Many places claim to have hamburgers, but Mana is the best. Very nice atmosphere and occasionally has live entertainment.

We went there twice within one week. The first time the appetizers (hummus, etc.) were outstanding, what you would expect in a Lebanese restaurant. However the main course was appalling. Overcooked, but still cold! So this time, with even more people at the table, I opted for a pizza, which was OK. Not much pepperoni on the pepperoni pizza though. Others opted for Lebanese dishes and were disappointed. One had the mixed meat plate for $26.00 which is a lot in Panama. The presentation was poor, everything was just thrown on the plate - also overcooked and very dry (at least it was hot). The wine is way overpriced - but we knew that and brought our own.

Lovely grounds, beautiful inside restaurant with a pleasant outdoor patio. Attentive, friendly service.
Food average...watery appetizers, gave the impression of pre-made and waiting in the fridge for an order. Condensation seemed obvious. Of the four entrees only one excellent. The remaining three were rated bland. Good selection of wine. Not a dining destination based on one visit.

On every weekend this place is crowded. Not so during the week. Of course seafood gets served, as fresh as it gets. A great place to hang out, right at the beach. While food and service are very generally, sometimes the kitchen is a bit sloppy.

While staying at the nearby JW Marriott Panama, I dined at Prime19 steakhouse located in the Buenaventura Golf Course clubhouse. Upon arrival, it was obvious how lovely the setting was...from the reflection pool lined with palm trees; to the furniture and decor of the steakhouse; to the presentation of the fresh fish and meats (that are available that evening) that are displayed in a case as you enter the open air dining room. The bread that was served to start was delicious followed by a well prepared, juicy steak for myself and a nice, flaky fish for my husband. The sides were wonderful as well. Having lived in NYC most of my life and frequenting the best steakhouses in the city, I was very pleasantly surprised at how good this "resort" steakhouse was...well worth a visit if staying at the very nearby JW Marriott.
