Verbano-Cusio-Ossola (Italian: Provincia del Verbano Cusio Ossola [verˈbaːno ˈkuːzjo ˈɔssola]) is the northernmost province in the Italian region of Piedmont. It was created in 1992 through the fusion of three geographical regions which had previously been part of the Province of Novara. The area flanking the western shore of Verbano (or Lago Maggiore) forms the eastern part of the province; Cusio (or Lago d’Orta) and its environs form the southern part; while the north and west of the province consists of the Ossola, a region of Alpine mountains and valleys. The ISO code for the province is VB.

"Our passion for hospitality and restaurants have led us to treat this fascinating work with the love, respect and respect it so greatly deserves. Our innovative Mediterranean cuisine is distinctive and we love to pamper our guests in the romantic rooms overlooking the lake where staff and surroundings reflect genuine harmony."<br><br>Antonino works on his cuisine every day of his life, drawing inspiration from life itself. His dishes also reflect and epitomise his journey northwards from the Sorrento coast to his wife, Cinzia, a native of Orta which is now his home.<br><br>These are the secrets of our two Michelin starred restaurant.
From the welcome through every course and bite, both the food and service absolutely lived up to Michelin's 2 stars. In our opinion, the few things keeping this outstanding restaurant from a third star...the dessert straw should have been edible, more elegant cutlery for the veal dish, an elegant pen to sign the check, a box of take away truffles..

Went as couples tonight. The food was creative, tasty and well presented. However, when we asked about side dishes; as there were none on the menu, we were told our mains came with vegetables. They did and they were good, but they were so minimal. We needed more to complete the meal. Desert of panacotta was also small and not up to par.

Another memorable ocassion at The Zucca restaurant. The food was once again outstanding, the service was as always warm and courteous. Our friends were visiting from Tasmania, and have heard many recommendations of this restaurant. They were not disappointed, in their opinion one of the finest eating experiences of their 7 week trip, evrything was so delicious. Absolutely fantastic. Our thanks to the family team for giving us another wonderful time. Your consistency and professionalism is to be commended. You take a pride in your work and it shows. Our best regards David and Penny Whitwam at La Casa del Giardiniere, B&B, nr Stresa.

Dinner was extremely good. Why then no "excellent" review? Because the prices were quite high relative to portion sizes in this nearly 120-year-old restaurant a stone's throw from Domodossola (I was surprised by the overall high prices in this area but maybe I need to get out more). We had a table all alone, outside. This was our fault, though, as we hadn't reserved in advance. Despite this, the service was outstanding. We enjoyed the breadsticks with sage butter and vanilla-infused salt. One of us had a "primo" consisting of a raviolo (a giant ravioli, as we would say in English) with ricotta, lemon and ginger and the other of us had a fantastic dish of grilled beef cubes in a yogurt and green tea sauce. I enjoyed a spectacular glass of Prunent wine, a Nebbiolo variety that is only grown in this valley in Italy. For dessert I enjoyed the "delizie in spuma" which is a layered dark and white chocolate mousse. FYI, "rusumada" is similar to zabaglione.

Typical restaurant with a cuisine revisited with the use of simple but high-quality products We always recommend booking
A short hike from Cannobio, this restaurant is a gem hidden in the forest. The atmosphere is lovely, and staff very friendly and attentive.
Lunch (3 courses) was delicious, and beautifully presented.
Would absolutely recommend this for anyone looking for a little excursion, great food combined with an easy hike.

Good food and good personal service. It is however a good idea to ask prices of specials before you order the; we were quite surprised to find out the price of the lobster, which was very good by the way but also not cheap. But, a good place to have dinner.

It was the second time that we could afford this fancy restaurant at the outskirts of Varese. One of the reasons was definitely also the fact that they offer gluten-free food/pasta but the main reason is the high quality of the food, the service, how the table is decorated, etc. Only when being seated inside, you see that they would need to improve a bit the interior (for ex., wall painting).
The food is definitely excellent, the service perfect. What should we say more: if you know a bit how to distinguish ordinary (good) food from extraordinary (good) food, then you should try this restaurant. It is worth the money (though you have to leave some amount of it ...).

The location is nothing special, but inside the ambience is quite pleasant.
Food is very good: excellent risotto prepared in many ways, good pastas and main courses served in generous sizes. In once occasion actually the portions were a bit too large.
Anna is very charming: welcoming and kind with all guests as well as professional.
Prices are correct. All in all a very positive experience.
It is often very busy, so Reservations are recommended.
