This restaurant belongs to the hotel and offers a very nice and warm decoration, with red velvet.
There is a great selection of sea food (in particular scallops) and fresh fishes from the atlantic.
The selection is rather small but I wasnt disappointed by the quality and freshness of food. It is almost a gastronomical restaurant.
The desert menu is rather limited and I ordered a home made crumble with pear, it was nice but I found it too sweet.

We visited l'Altitude for dinner and had a great time. The food is really fantastic, with typical dishes from Savoie. We tried some fondue savoyarde with some special hams and other charcuterie, as well as some tartiflette. All accompanied by nice wines from the same region. The portions are generous with great quality of meat and cheese.
The decor brings you back in the Mountains and reminds you of apres-ski ambiance.
Finally the service is great. We had a fantastic evening.

Taken here for a business dinner. Found the menu to be comprehensive with good choice (they also had it in English). We had the set menu and really pleased with my selection. Good food, well cooked, beautifully presented, great friendly atmosphere and excellent service. Loved it.

We were a party of four that originally wanted to go to a restaurant next door ( good tripadvisor reviews) , but after Reading the menu outside decided on this place instead . That was a lucky choice.
We all opted for a set meal of one sort or the other - the prices varied between 23 and 31 for a starter , main course , dessert and in some cases also a cheese platter . All of our starters were seafoods ( yummy ), melt in your mouth steaks for main course ( including a random kangaroo one ) , lots of stinky cheeses and desserts ( personally my chocolate one was the best ). We also had wine , a couple of cocktails and beer. The bill for 4 people ( and 3 hours of food) was around 180 euro.
It looked like a family run restaurant with only two waitresses ( a mother and daughter ) , only one of them spoke English but the service was very very friendly and the whole restaurant was packed . Overall , a great experience .

We were recommended to this restaurant by someone who lives locally and we weren't disappointed ....the evening we visited there were many wind surfers which made its situation on the beach extra interesting. We started with oysters and then had a steak dish for two - the chef brought out the meat to show us it raw ...it was huge...we had asked for it to be cooked medium and it ranged from well done to rare when it came which was fine with us - there was just too much of it - lovely if you are a big eater... Staff were friendly, no problem - We would definitely go back if we visit that area again. Its not a cheap restaurant, but well worth it.

My husband had read about this restaurant and wanted to try it during our recent trip to La Baule. It turned out to be one of the best meals of our holiday! The lady owner is obviously passionate about quality and service and I would...MoreDear Shoegirl58, Thanks a lot for your reviews. We are glad you had a good time in our restaurant . We hope to see you when you come back in La Baule.

We chose this place for our only night off from the kids during a weeks holiday. Everything was good & really nice people running this little place - so cannot fault the service & attention at all. I guess without the kids we are more focused on the detail, which was nice but not stunning. We opted for oysters with muscadet as suggested - a good start. Followed by the poached egg (excellent) & the lomo with salami (quite average though the lomo was good). Fish & spanish pork for mains - both cooked perfectly though we did not love the sweetcorn mash. The special house lemon tart which we shared again was good - but not the best we have tasted, The rose wine was excellent though & the friendly service always helps. Almost feel bad for not marking excellent as obviously they care about every aspect - so would still highly recommend as a lovely place.

Coming back time and time again!
Les Sablons offer the same great consistent service and food everytime. Wonderful busying atmosphere, helpful and friendly team and the best and freshest seafood and crepes/galettes in la baule. They are always busy for a reason so bookings is necessary but best time is assured!

We had the set menu, three courses €27 and chose from quite a small but interesting menu. 'Small' always makes me think 'fresh' rather than a huge menu offering 'freezer food' so we had high expectations. Nothing on the menu was dull or unappealing to us so between us we probably had a bit of everything.
Delicious, interesting, unusual, fresh, lots of flavours.
We ordered the local Chardonnay which was about €20 and lovely.
Nice family atmosphere, attentive lady looked after us. We stayed in the Oceania hotel across the road so a great location for us.
Great evening out.
