2 premises: 1) it is a Japan-cuisine restaurant, run by a Chinese family; 2) there is no All-U-Can-Eat option. Beyond these (anyone will evaluate them for good or not), the menu, atmosphere, options are very Japanese (abroad): even the dishes are "made in Japan". Menu is wide and presents all the typical Japanese dishes, with many different flavors (hot and cold). Fish seemed quite fresh and tasty, as well as their food, service was very good and quick. Even with few options, even the dessert (we tried sushi dessert) was awesome. For spicy lovers, maybe their wasabi isn't so spicy (for sure, not Korean) and need to be improved. Price is very honest (about 20EUR/pax). Recommended if you are in the neighborhood.

Amazing placed on a enchanting place in front of a breathtaking church .. The restaurant at first sight looked like the perfect place to eat traditional local cuisine. The service was impeccable .. But the food, unfortunately didn't convince .. Certainly I only had 3 simple dishes (local clear soup, brasato+polenta, cake) ..but these were just ok

Trip Advisor rates the Osteria della Madonna as the first restaurant in Pavia, and deservedly so. In the beautiful, medieval, pedestrianised city centre, not far from the river Ticino, the osteria takes its name from a fresco of the Madonna just above its door. It retains the character and the layout of an old osteria, but in the same time it offers you the food, the ambience and the service of a great restaurant - at the price of an osteria. The food was fantastic, joining pavese tradition with Southern Italian inventivity (where the chef comes from), but what was remarkable was the warm, kind, smiling professionalism of the whole staff. Wonderful.

Visited Erbaluce with my aunt and uncle who were visiting from out of country. The menu and selection of wine seemed appropriate for the occasion.
Our server was very polite and provided us with the specials for the evening and some suggestions. The dishes were fresh and presented well. It's apparent that the chef is experienced and has an appreciation for Mediterranean flavours.
The food took quite some time to arrive but the server warned us that the cuts of meat we chose and the risotto require extra time to prepare. Our white wine was fantastic!
The ambience is slightly lacking. It's very quiet and calm. Appropriate for an older crowd or dinner with family.

If you are looking for a place to eat fresh fish with good size portions and spend reasonably than this is the restaurant for you. This was confirmed when I entered the restaurant and noticed that the place was filled with locals. The owner of the restaurant is very friendly and personally takes all of the food orders. For my first dish, I had a mixed fish pasta dish which was freshly prepared and as mentioned above with healthy size portions. For my second dish, I had large shrimped cooked in cognac, this was a very tasty dish. I also had a nice bottle of white wine which was surprisingly moderately priced. Overall great dining experience.

We chose this restaurant for lunch taking "pot luck"
without Reading reviews in advance. We were very lucky.
It is an excellent restaurant. Very good food, friendly
service and reasonable price. We were impressed by
the elderly lady who served us with great charm.
Very pleasant atmosphere. Not to be missed if you
are visiting Pavia.

They offer a great variety of interesting wines, many of them not well known. The young owner/sommeiler is very enthusiastic and friendly. The food is simple, of the kind you'd expect in a wine bar, and of a high quality, with very generous portions. Very reasonably priced for the quality they offer. A pleasant, modern interior, with a soft classical music playing in the background. On the whole, a very enjoyable experience, highly recommended!

The cocktails are very nice, prices are as usual in Pavia. A little bit disappointed of the aperitif, it used to be nicer.
