Highly recommend! We ordered four pizzas and a salad so that we could eat dinner on the beach. All four pizzas were delicious... the order taken by a lovely lady and delivered in 15 minutes. A mad dash to the beach and we were the envy of the restaurant diners as we ate inches from the sea. Perfect. Thank you.

Restaurante en Begur, de cocina tradicional Mediterranea a la brasa de carbon vegetal.Facilidades de aparcamiento.
Weekday menu is excellent value and enjoys the same quality dishes (like roast suckling pig) as the a la carte menu and also includes wine. We have enjoyed the most delicious char grilled rabbit dishes and excellent locally fished baby squid. Think we had the biggest fillet steaks ever, char grilled to perfection during our visit last Sunday to celebrate our 45th anniversary !

I feel sad to write this review as I live near to L'Arc. 4 of us went for lunch on a Thursday which was a national holiday. We waited 20 minutes before someone offered us a drink and brought a menu. Water duly arrived but there was a further 10 minute wait for our order to be taken. 3 of us chose items off the menù del día and the 4th person chose an entrecote steak à la carte. Wine was included in the menu and that arrived after another 10 minutes. In all we waited 55 minutes for our starters - 3 small rounds of smoked salmon with a runny chickpea purée inside. This was definitely not what we had expected for "ravioli of smoked salmon with chickpea humous and soy sauce".
Another long wait for the main course. 3 of us had grilled turbot - & that is exactly what we were served. 3 small pieces of grilled turbot with a little sauce, no potatoes, no vegetables, no accompaniments. Our friend's steak arrived with mix vegetables. For dessert I ordered homemade tiramisú with coffee ice cream & Baileys. This arrived in a bowl & looked similar to Eton Mess, a sort of goo. It tasted OK but was not properly presented. A friend had pineapple tatin, which turned out to be a slice of grilled pineapple with a small piece of pastry shaped like a long biscuit on top. Another friend ordered a chocolate dessert which was the best of the 3.
The service was surly and unbelievably slow. This is the 2nd time I have been here & I didn't much enjoy my lunch the 1st time. I shan't be going back.

Spain still has a territory in North Africa and I guess the owners or the chef comes from there, as the menu mentions dishes like humus and couscous. We went for the Pica Pica Seafood menu, €27,50 pp. Pica Pica stands for shared dishes and we got 7. Grilled bread with tomato and achovies. Deep fried baby eels. Squid. Two types of Shrimps. Cod and more. Very simple but very fresh and well prepared ( which is not as easy as it sounds!) Perfect service too. We had a very nice lunch.

What's to say. Food is excellent, location is superb. No rush (only for the waiters) If you want to have a long lunch , no problem.
Reserving a table is quit easy. Be there around 10:00 O'clock. At the latest 11:00 that's the only time then you can reserve a table for lunch.

Restaurant menu and breakfasts. Daily menu : 11,50 € weekend menu 17,00 €
El Timo is the place where workers go for lunch and where families have their Sunday brunches.
The food is fresh and simple and of great quality. The menu is traditional Spanish or Catalan family food and it is prepared with love for the food and respect for the customers.
The lady serving is a sweetheart. Her father, running the bar, a friendly old man.
We have been here several times. And every time we feel we have eaten very well and gotten a lot of value for little money.
And don't worry about the wine. Take the red, it is served cold and a very tasty local wine also nice to enjoy as tinto de verano. I guarantee you a good meal in a friendly place. Go where the locals go!

Enjoy dinner in our cozy and romantic Restaurant with good music, warm lighting, looks, smiles and with all the flavor of Mediterranean cuisine ... Sleep in a Colonial Mansion 1866. 10 rooms full of detail in a magical atmosphere.
Lovely restaurant with real charm. Attentive waiters, nice relaxing music. A genuine buzz. We had suckling pig and beef filet both cooked well and nicely presented. Our 6 year old had a hamburger and they swapped in fries for her - she loved the meat. For dessert we had chocolate fondue which was really good and crema Catalana which was nicely done. The real selling point is the gently buzzing atmosphere in a beautifully renovated mansion. Would certainly go back!

Bread and Grapes is located in Palafrugell, in the manor in 1898, the Catalan writer Josep Pla and regenerate descendants of the same. It is a family restaurant with a capacity of between 30 and 40 people, distributed in different rooms and a large and pleasant garden with two centenarians til.Lers summer. The menu is based on local products, traditional cuisine prepared ampurdanesa have passed through the sieve of modernity.
This was by far the best restaurant we dined while our stay in Palafrugell.
We picked this restaurant originally because they participate in the sea urchin festivity menu during January to March.
Reservation is definitely recommended as this place is pretty small.
Ambient is very romantic with candle light and dimmed scene.
We picked their full course meal and it was a lot of food.
sea urchin dish was delicious, appetizers were also very well presented and tasted as good.
Server was very knowledgeable, she did not speak English though so you should be prepared to translate on your own with app or go with someone who speaks Spanish would benefit you.

For some reason, we've always shunned the Llagosta in the past and haven't eaten there for about 15 years, always preferring the Hotel Llafranch.
After our rather unfortunate experience at the latter recently, we decided to give the Llagosta another go.
What a pleasant surprise!
Firstly, the service is absolutely excellent. It was fast, efficient and everyone was pleasant and always had a smile on their faces, which is sometimes at a premium in these parts as regular visitors will understand.
The food was excellent and great value. My pork cheek was simply the best I've ever had. It's usually braised but this looked like it was roasted. I was slightly worried that it might not be tender enough but it was like eating a fillet steak. And the cost? Just €12-50. Amazing.
The whole meal cost just over €30 per head including wine which for great food, great service and a great view was brilliant.
I definitely won't leave it 15 years before I come again!
