Pachuca is the getaway for those looking for dreamy landscapes, rich culture, nature and comfort. Of note are the Pulque Haciendas, 19th century grand haciendas dedicated to the production of pulque, a traditional drink considered sacred by the Aztecs. It's made from the fermented sap of maguey plants.

We had normal Mexican dishes for a very reasonable price. And it was good. The people were willing to explain what it's mean. So they were very helpfully and friendly.

Food and 'average, good meat. Good service but expects a 10% tip without giving any receipt or the ability 'to pay this sum included in the bill by credit card! Embarrass the customer! Return would be too embarrassing! They have lost a customer!

We are a couple of specialty coffee shops in Pachuca, Mexico; our passion is to offer the best possible experience while you have a great coffee. We supervise the coffee process from the bean selection through the storage, roast and preparation. We serve breakfast, sandwiches, salads and desserts.
Nothing short of the best cup of hot chocolate and biscotti I have tried in all of Mexico!!! If in Pachuca you should not leave without stopping here first to refuel yourself. Awesome personal attention from everyone. I could not believe that such a place exists in a small city like this. Very charming. I shall be back!

Decided on this restaurant after checking it and El Serrinallo. Tough time choosing but decided on Real del Monte as we thought the interior had more character appeal. It also helped our decision enjoying the lady frying tortillas at the entrance.
Arrived at 6:15 PM, not busy, chose our own table, service started out rapid and attentive but slowed as the meal progressed. Ordered a 375 mil bottle of Spanish Crianza and was quoted $170 Pesos. Charged $210 when the bill arrived. Started with the tortilla soup and it was tasty, a bit salty plus the chicken consommé, also good with lots of chicken. Mains were the Chicken Supreme, a chicken breast flattened then filled with cheese and ham (bland flavour) and the Trucha al Maguey (small fish cooked in tinfoil with huitlacoche and spices) which was passable.
The restaurant has an interesting old Mexican feel but misses the mark on service and food. Washrooms not checked, credit cards accepted.

Besides the calm, classy and cozy atmosphere, combined with a personalized table service; Chef Paola Arriaga serves authentic home-made artisan Italian food, learnt from her stay at Tuscany. Alimentari offers authentic “soul-food”, and highly recommendable if you want to have a business or special occasion. Their pizza and pasta are second to none. However, they also have seasonal specials like “Escamoles” (Pre-hispanic Mexican cuisine dish, made of ant larvae, is a dish native to Central Mexico, once considered a delicacy by the Aztecs—insect caviar, if you will.), “Chinicuiles” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maguey_worm) or “Chiles en Nogada” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiles_en_Nogada).
Make sure you call to make your reservation in advance, since the place is not massive.

well we asked at the parking lot for a good place to eat they quickly said La Blanca! I like the restaurant since I saw it from the street, its right across the Relog Monumental in downtown Pachuca... The food they serve its regional and we were it the mood for it, the presentation was good, good portions and good flavor, excellent service and great atmosphere... a place to go back for sure...

We went for lunch because this restaurant was recomended by a friend. For me is the best restaurant in real del monte. Ask for the tlacoyos mineros or the enchiladas mineras.
Sopa de haba is very good!
And if you are a dairy person, for breakfast ask for a concha con nata. Delicious!!!
Deserts are not very good but you eat there and then go for a delicious sweet paste in plateros or tejeda or los portales or any other. All local pastes are delicious.
Also you con find a good ice cream in santa clara.
Don't miss it!
