This restaurant was my favourite for fish in the area till a coule of years ago - perhaps the success made them think they did not need customer satisfaction anymore. My recent visits (2) were disappointing. Average food, not so good service, very overpriced bill. What a pity.

If you read the other glowing reviews we can only add that this high standard of food and service from Antonio was maintained. We also had a whole fish (John Dory) which was expertly prepared at the table and delicious. However for me the highlight was a stunning and large(!) seafood salad to start.

Da Salvatore is an unpretentious yet elegantly simple seafood restaurant in an out-of-the-way part of Oristano. Here you will find reasonably priced, expertly prepared, and exquisitely fresh whole fish, stews, and pasta dishes. Spaghetti with sea urchin sauce, mussel and clam soup with bottarga, whole fish cooked in Vernaccia, fried squash blossoms, and fresh peas with bacon are especially recommended— they nearly brought tears of joy to our eyes. The wine list includes some particularly inspiring local whites and don't forget to order some almond cookies for dessert to dunk in your after dinner drinks. The chef is a dynamo and a master of his craft — he even invited us into the kitchen! Service was beyond friendly with encylopedic wine knowledge. We thought the prices were very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food and drink we consumed. During nearly three weeks in Sardinia, this was one of our two finest meals. Da Salvatore is everything you've been dreaming of in a great Italian seafood restaurant.

We really enjoyed eating here, and this restaurant deserves the great reviews that it has. Really nice sea food, thin crust pizzas that are delicious. Comfortable and elegant surroundings, close to the city centre. Service is quick and efficient. Recommended.

The food we ate here was absolutely delish! The restaurant looked a bit weird from the outside and the interior looked like a mashup of at least 7 different styles, but man, were we amazed when we tried the food!
The waiter comes to the table to tell you the menu. He was very friendly and was open to serving a vegan dish, which was absolutely wonderful. Usually, when you say you're a vegan, you get a dry salad or a simple tasteless pasta, but this dish was wonderful.

We found this restaurant through the guide at the Tourist Information Office and we are glad we did. We had a fantastic meal in a lovely restaurant, a little way out of the centre. The restaurant felt much more authentic than those in the centre and was busy with locals. The food was simple and delicious, good portions at a good price.

Food was OK, terrible avocado and shrimp starter drowned in a Mayo-tomato sauce. Main course OK. Staff very busy and didn't really have time to follow up. Seems popular with locals, pizza looked good.

Suggested by a local we walked in and found this to be a local family restaurant with an extensive pizza menu. Full bar, wine, beer served by Waitstaff dressed in bow tie and vests. Very clean and you can see them making pizzas thru the open window. Menu offers So many pizza choices. Cash only, no credit cards.
