Idyllic scenery, majestic sea life, a…pirate cemetery? Surreal, serene Nosy Boraha was a once a retreat for some of history’s most notorious pirates, many of whom are buried here. The skull and crossbones-marked tombstones are among the Madagascar island’s most popular attractions. Equally attractive are the opportunities to sight amorous humpback whales, who migrate to the surrounding waters during their July to September mating season. Hiking, cycling, and reef-snorkeling round out the charming island’s appeal.

I at the restaurant with my husband and mother, we ordered drinks and two plate of frites (chips). The waitress had a real attitude and came with just one plate and literally plunked on the table the plate and cutlery with a bad attitude.
I would not recommend this place if you want a genuine and friendly service.
The toilets are of good use though.

Location: The place is in Town and it is in a pleasant beach.
Service: The service in general is very good. The personnel is very polite & available at any time.
Food: The restaurant has very good food. You must try….
Note: Much appreciated the kindness of the owners. They are friendly and they create a good and relaxed atmosphere. Often you can also find some live concert and dance!

Great restaurant and stunning beach side location. The staff, owner Sophie and friendly parrot were very charming and attentive as we enjoyed a relaxing and tasty dinner.
Our dinner courses were of good quality and well presented. This restaurant is also part of a small hotel and the beach-side bungalows and chalets looked like a perfectly charming place to stay.

This is a very pretty restaurant/hotel which overlooks the main lagoon on Sainte-Marie. The food was great and the owner was very hospitable, taking us on a lovely tour of the grounds (while explaining all the local plants) and around the pirate cemetery. I would definitely recommend it for a nice afternoon - or if you are looking for pirate treasure!

The food was nothing out of the ordinary but the waiting time was. All the tables were occupied and they couldn't handle the orders as they were coming in fast. They seemed to handle their tables one by one meaning that they only started preparing the food for a table when the previous one had had all their courses. Very inefficient if you ask me.
Luckily they had wifi to keep you occupied.

We were brought here for lunch by our guide Frankie during our visit to the mangrove tunnels. We told the restaurant to make whatever fish they do best. We arrived with a owner outside waiting for us with fresh water to wash our hands. We had a delicious and unique salad and the fish was outstanding with a coconut green onion sauce- heavenly with yucca-like chips, and yummy coconut dessert. We were just so surprised! Best 20,000 ariary spent on food.

Had lunch here in May 2016. I was on holiday with my parents and they were looking for a taste of 'home'. Our hotel recommended la Cambusa and so we went. Great Italian food and great service from the owner and his staff. Well done!
Abbiamo pranzato in Maggio 2016 Duarte il nostro soggiorno a Saint Marie. Mangiato benissimo, pizza squisita e staff molto gentile e disponibile.
