After walking an hour to get here I was looking forward to a good Biryani.
Arriving at 8pm on Friday the 25th of May 2012 we found all the lights turned off, door locked, and no sign of life within. There is a notice by the door explaining opening hours are 6pm - 10pm, but where was everyone?
Had fried noodles and skewers around the corner to soothe the disappointment.

For anyone in Nanning looking for a taste of Western Food I would recommend this place. Price is reasonable considering the atmosphere and low availability of Western Food in Nanning. Food itself was very tasty.

We ordered the namesake lemon duck, 2 pork dishes I can't translate, and a baby bokchoy dish.
Everything was delicious, service was quick and friendly. The restaurant loojed nice, bathrooms were clean, and prices reasonable for the quality of food served.
Will be back again next time visiting Nanning.

The restaurant is on the fourth floor of the Mixc Shopping Mall, it's very easy to find . The environment is very good and big. The dishes are characteristics of Southeast Asia, the flavor is very great and delicous, so there are many people especially at the weekend. After the dinner, we can go to have a walk in the shopping mall ,very wonderful!

We were looking for a bar with a friendly atmosphere and the Queens Head came highly recommended.
We were made to feel very welcome, the staff were excellent very attentive.
There was a huge range of drinks and their mohitos were huge and really enjoyable.
The atmosphere was buzzing with a group playing and such a range of different nationalities all chatting and having fun together which just added to the friendly ambience.
We will definately return on our next visit.
Thankyou Queens Head Nanning.

Not quite the same as KFC in the United States, but you will find many familiar items on the menu. Craving soft serve ice cream on a hot humid day in southern China? Here it is!
The restaurant is clean and modern...it even has WIFI for you to use! Also, some employees know just enough English to conduct business with me verbally.
Plus, they have a menu card for you...to point out the items you want.
Excellent value compared to what I pay here in the US for KFC, however more expensive than the average local cuisine.

Great place for brunch, with lots of dim sum options. Easy ordering, fast service, reasonable prices.
We ordered a selection of dim sum varieties, and everything was delicious. Standout dish was the bbq pork puffs, rhe outside was deliciously flaky, with just the right amount of bbq pork inside.

Old Friend Rice Noodles, laoyoufen, is what pops up when talking about Nanning! Firstly fry up pepper, sour bamboo shots, black beans and garlic, and then add meat, and then add soup and rice noodles. WOW that is the taste you can never forget!
Fuji is the oldest laoyou shop in Nanning and it is still thriving for the excellent taste!

This pedestrian-only street is crammed full of snack stall on both sides, and should be visited at least once during your time in Nanning. Lots of meat and seafood options, this is a cheap and tasty place to try a wide variety of local foods.
Highly recommended.
