If you like seafood pasta, and calamari, this is the place to go in Marsala. Most come for the Scaloppine al Marsala for obvious and good reasons. But the calamari is served the way it should always be - soft and sweet. And the prices are very reasonable (pasta with sardines is 10 euro, and the calamari is 12 euro). No reason to spend much more at a pretentious "upscale" restaurant.

I had lunch at this wonderful local restaurant. It was mostly occupied by local clients who seem to love food. The antipasti buffet had over 10 variations to choose from. All of them were so down to earth taste and to the point. I also ordered linguine with small shrimps. It was so delicious because the small shrimps were just from the near fish market and so fresh and full of flavor. I was full with the antipasti buffet and the pasta and passed the main course (secondo). But many local clients chose fish/shrimp/lobster/crams from the show case and had them cooked to order. It looked so delicious, too. Everybody seemed to come here to enjoy the delicious local dishes with the freshest ingredients! Lastly, don't miss Marsala wine for dessert.

English Speaking. Delicious and trendy wine bar in the middle of town. All Marsala wines served, together a choice of local biscuits, sausages etc.

There are many wine bars on the pedestrian alley between Porta Garibaldi and Piazza Republic. This continues to be my favorite. It is rather small, with few tables inside and a few benches outside. They offer dozen of local wines and masalas by the glass as well as other from Pantelleria and nearby areas. There are a few small sandwiches, bruschetta and stuzzichini available. The owner and the staff are great and friendly and know their wines.

Great food, lovely atmosphere with a lovely night lights view. The place is very nicely done up, spotless clean. All the staff are very welcoming, professional and friendly.
This was a special night celebrating my dad and mum birthday as well as their anniversary. The dolce was a special one for the parents and a compliment from the chef. It was to die for and a touching gesture from their end.
Thank you to all the front team, to the Chef and his kitchen team. We will be back the next time we are in Marsala to enjoy a degustacion!

Following our noses, drove into Marsala, located in the Province of Trapani in the westernmost part of Sicily. Time for refreshments; stopped at Oasi Bar. The bar had everything; it was a cafe, restaurant meals served, drinks including alcohol, to-die-for scrumptious cakes, they also do birthdays and wedding celebrations too. I have gait/walking challenges (stroke), all sightseeing has to be well-researched and not overly taxing; I wear a legbrace.
A challenging time, deciding which delicious offering to have. Also the main reason for coming here: had to try Marsala wine, in Marsala town. The waiter had very good knowledge, he recommended a few Marsala wines to have to compliment the sweet cakes. Cool. We had luscious, delectable cannoli, (one of the best cannoli) as well.
It was surprisingly, an awesome find; a worthwhile stop; we bought a few Marsala wines to take with us on our travels through Sicily. If only we had time to come back for more luscious cakes, and evening meals, on this trip. Very reasonable prices, pleasant surroundings. A must to visit, if you are in the area.

Pizzeria Cellarius

I have lived in Italy for the last four years. I have eaten pizza all over this country, easily having consumed hundreds of pizzas during my time here. While on a trip to Marsala, I walked over to Cellarius after finding it on Tripadvisor. All I can say is wow.
I was greeted warmly and was immediately seated outside. The pizza menu has at least 60 or more to choose from, but I went with the pizza alla Marsala. It was €6 and, bar none, the absolute best pizza I have had in Italy. I didn't want it to end. To describe it would not do it justice, so just get there and try it. Amazing.
It didn't end there, though. I had the homemade Cassata, a Sicilian dessert that is made with sweet ricotta cheese. Also absolutely amazing. The owner (or manager) brought me an Amaro, on the house, that was a perfect cap on the meal. I actually smiled as I walked back to where I was staying, as I reflected on what a satisfying meal I'd just had.
For a large bottle of sparkling water, the best pizza in Italy, fantastic Cassata and an Amaro...it was €10.
I will definitely be back. Wow again. Awesome.

We had dinner with three here on Saturday. We are regular holiday guests of SLo and have been visiting this osteria for 5 years now, but were not impressed this time. The food was better and more affordable during our last visits. We started with tasteful black spaghetti but had a fresh seabrass okay tasting for main course. The waiters are too much in a hurry. There are better and cheaper alternatives in Marsala.

We had read reviews about the seafood couscous and went for that reason. We were hugely disappointed. The seafood in the couscous was non existent save a few bits of fish. We had a half liter of white wine that appeared to be a different shade of white (more cider like) than the wine served to Italian tables. Water, 1/2 l of wine and 2 servings of plain couscous for 32 euro. Pretty sure a joke was made between father and daughter at our expense when we were paying the bill. Felt ripped off. Not impressed.

It was our first night in Sicily and we were stunned by the welcoming of Mr. Giovanni an his service. Outstanding wine, but that is apparently a standard in Sicily. Regret to say, we found much better food elsewhere the next days. Though, we left the place full of good stories from Capitano Giovanni - the waiter.
