Marina di Grosseto (Italian: [maˈriːna di grosˈseːto]) is a famous tourist destination located twelve kilometers from Grosseto; it is an important seaside resort in Grossetan Maremma. Once a fishing village, it is known for its hilly hinterland, rich in macchia and wide beaches overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, with a vast pine forest that extends from Punta Ala to the Uccellina Mountains.

Reopen February 14 all weekends! From may until september all evenings for dinnner!
The place doesn't look so cozy from the outside but inside it is. Very nice service, very friendly. We got a very nice starter from the kitchen, fresh anchovies with vegetables, We had homemade pasta with mussels and clams, really good. And then we had grilled sea bream with grilled vegetables. Everything really good. We had a really nice evening.

We Want to offer a genuine and healthy food, with respect for the environment, and offering moments of joy and serenity.
Worth travelling around the world to have just one scoop-- or two, or three!!
When you've finally made it to Marina, have a look like we did at where the locals are enjoying their gelato-- we had been recommended another place, but whilst there we saw the local firemen, the ambulance drivers and pretty much half the town standing in line to get some of this great stuff!
But ooohh la la, what kind to choose?? Fruity, chocolately, "typical Italien" (like panna cotta or hazelnut/nocciola)-- whatever your pleasure, you can boost your consumption cravings by knowing that it is all local, bio milk from the Maremma and a family run business.
Turns out, if you become a regular like we did, you might even get lucky enough to ask Manu to share his secrets with you- I was given a few basic recipies for chocolate and dark chocolate and WOW, they have revolutionized my ice cream repertoire! (And I'm saying this even as a proud owner of the ice cream bible by C&R Weir). He also teaches gelaterias, so if you're really super lucky you can bring even his talents and skills home with you!!
Oh, and the lines weren't too bad-- and believe me we came often! The kids also really loved the granita drinks, be sure to try one, too!

Great food, wine and service, as always.
Simple at lunch, sophisticated at dinner; Reservations - for the latter - essential.
Our favorite waiter, Carlo, has opened his own restaurant (Fufluns Enoteca Ristorante in Grosseto) but the standard remains very high, especially recommendations from the extensive wine list and the innovative desert/wine list.

After Fiumara we went to see this place as it is nr 4 on the recommendation list in Marina di Grosseto.
The atmosphere is not nice, ugly strandbar. The restaurant was half empty at 21:00 and we were re-seated to a smaller table. Place is very loud of loud speaking Italians. Harsh lights, etc. The waitresses were a bit stressed, impatient and not really polite.
We were served warm, untasty wine. The fish was fresh and delicious, but it was not peeled. Never had such a disappointment in a Restaurant and paid for 2 glasses of white wine, 2 fish, an untasty salad and some grilled vegetables 69 Euros.
Never again.

We went to Emilio's for dinner on the recommendation of the hotel we were staying at down the road. They raved about it and we weren't disappointed! We had a beautiful fish appetizer that included a luscious mousse I will remember for a long time. The fritto misto was beautifully cooked, light and delicious, with that perfect crunch and not the heavy, soggy batter you sometimes get. In the outdoor dining area they serve pizza cooked in a woodburning oven. We ate inside and I loved the decor. They have a fireplace that they light in winter, so we've already decided to make a trip back to enjoy that - and another fine meal.
Last but not least, the staff is lovely.

This is also an enoteca so there is a superb collection of white and red wines here, but Pantagruel is all about seafood, about fresh fish, about delicious home made pasta, about a Michelin quality food served in simple surroundings and reasonably priced.

Loved it: the sea food, the staff, the family friendliness, the price/quality-ratio, ... The only thing missing was the timing of serving everybody at the same time.

Just arrived, on the right, there is a small garden with three tables. Entering the restaurant there is a cozy lounge area where we show always new photographs and other works of art MarcoColosi. Up the stairs wefind the main dining room. There is a bar area decorated with plaster work on inspired by our maremma. The walls display, the colors of MarcoColosi and his art.Continuing the journey there is a large Terrace where, in the summer evenings, enjoying Cleonice's cuisine, you can breathe the scent of our pine forest mingled with the salty of the tyrrhenian sea. And even though we finished dinner it is hard to get up to go home!
A fine clam place , good quality food, very fine service. The location is near center the place itself is simple but well organized. Good value.

No doubt one could get the impression to have been misled: a humble (but clean and pretty) white barrack on the right bank of St. Rocco channel with a simply paved patio, the typical atmosphere of an Italian rural trattoria might not look fitting exactly...MoreThank you. We hope to see you again.
