Situated in one of Denmarks oldest restaurants, this pearl of a Danish restaurant is worth a visit. Excellent small lunch menu, open faced sandwiches made to perfection, a wide selection of tapas as well as excellent choices of beer and wines. Several small rooms low cieling and with a lot of history. Passionate staff loving what they do, and at reasonable prices. Easy access for handicapped as well as wheel chairs

Restaurant Vinkælderen is now family run restaurant and it is NOT called La Comida any longer. I firmly believe that Restaurant Vinkælderen is currently Nykobing Falster’s best restaurant. Many restaurants in Nykobing often suffers from inconsistent quality and service however Vinkaelderen always manage to master continual great service plus the quality of food is always amazing. A lot of attention is paid to the freshness and presentation. The choice on the menu is not huge and does not include what you usual find in other Lolland Falster restaurants such as Wiener schnitzel, burger and pizza. This menu is well put together with fantastic ingredients and creativity. When I am visiting Falster, I always ensure that at least one evening is spent dining at Restaurant Vinkælderen. A visit is highly recommended if you are visiting the area.

We visited on a Sunday for the buffet, I cannot recommend it highly enough. There were three kinds of raw herring, with onion and capers on the side for you to add - absolutely wonderful! Prawns, asparagus and great bread. Three different roast meats, meatballs, wienerschnitzel, biksmad (a pork and potato dish, traditionally made out of leftovers). Plus plenty of other delicious stuff. Pickles and vegetables, and a fantastic cheeseboard. The staff were great, decent wine and beer and of course, schnapps to go with the wonderful herring. We also added a Christmas eve desert which was not on the buffet menu - risalamande - a creamy rice pudding with crushed almonds, often served with cherries. Very sweet and rich - lovely!
129k a head (about £13), great value.
The setting and atmosphere were good too. Just go there!

We had a Pork Buffet. Several kind of pork that tasted good together with a Tuborg, danish beer. You can sit inside or outside. Very friendly staff. The restaurant has different offers depending on day and was full. It's a good alternative to pizza.

This restaurant could at first glance look like a standard pizza place, but their menu contains more than just pizzas. We did, however, settle for a pizza. The pizza was good and the crust was well baked and thin, just like a pizza should be! The wine list was comprehensive for this type of restaurant and we were quite happy with the wine we selected to go with our pizza. The restaurant itself is quite basic with standard tables, but totally ok. Staff was very helpful and I would recommend this place to anyone!

We had a buffet here worth less than 200. The food was not so bad. And it's a lot of food. Along with a drinks and desserts. But I think you need to organize your service. No one check our table. So if I was an outsider, came in, take a plate and get a food without paying. I am sure, no one will noticed.

I have been to this restaurant several times and it has always been good. Lovely décor and situated in a great location overlooking the water. This time it is was terrible. We all ordered the pepper steak to be cooked medium. When the food arrived, the steak was over cooked and very dry. It was impossible to have any attention from waiters during the meal so we could not address the problem. When the red haired young waiter came to collect plates, we mentioned the issue. He could not have cared less. Absolutely no apology or recognition. I am very sad to see this restaurant succumb to low quality of food and service.

Had lunch there - but shouldn't have. The burgers were boring but okay. The service slow and inattentive. The food for the children were horrible. The fish were not edible. Our daughter who is 10 and is not picky at all had to give up after two bites. It could not be chewed and tasted disgusting. Impossible to get the waiters attention and had to go to the bar to pay the bill.

Visited this restaurent for Breakfast, unfortunately not so many people, but we we got was super and enough. Waiter fast and friendly, scrambled eggs really HOT and actually nothing to complain about. Rememer the low price when comparing. we will get back for another breakfast and maybe also to try our the Dinner menu.
