Perfect service, excellent wine list. One star Michelin quality food, somewhat obscured by "over spicing." The chef (very nice and charming) explained the this grandmother lived in Morocco, and that he was using that as an inspiration, I think too much so. I am unhappy when the multitude of flavors obscure the flavor of the excellent meats, fish and vegetables.

Our group of 8 including two children were returning from a Monday morning visit to Abbaye de Senanque, and stopped at this very pleasant village. We had been advised to visit the Cafe de la Poste for lunch, but we learned on arrival that it was closed Mondays. Le Carillon was right around the corner and the posted menu looked inviting. We were not disappointed. The pasta dishes were tasty and al dente. Nicely accompanied by a house wine, or a biere pression. The service was excellent, and the Terrace with awning was attractive, but we opted to sit just inside the restaurant. In view of that great lunch (menu 2 plats + cafe for 21 euros) we will definitely return when in Goult !!

Fantastic restaurant. Every thing we tasted wears delicious. Not a single plate had anything on it after we were through. Also Monsieur Frankie the sommelier was delightful and informative and the wine he suggested was delicious! Perfectly paired our dinner. We arrive with nearly 40 people, (reservation of course) and they gave a wonderful intimate experience to everyone. definitely recommended!

Restaurant Traditionnel
Le Retro c'est la France disparu...The cuisine delicious, the open wine was not, and the whole place was somehow like la France profonde with a touch of neighbourhood. We had a nice evening there with a friend just arrived from Germany, and she was really impressed of the quality. All food was homemade, the small countryside city so authentic.

Walking up the little hill to the Terrace overlooking a vineyard, we were shown to a beautiful table with crisp linens....The owner was dressed in grey linen as a perfect accompaniment to the grey and white surrounding tones .
The prix fixe menu was superb, and we were excited to experience the perfect blending of beauty and taste during our two and a half our meal.
Gorgeous desserts ( best of a one month stay in France) and a great afternoon!

A busy little restaurant on a summer evening, looking out on a lawn garden. The menu was simple, with just a few choices, and the price is moderate. The general approach to the food was to compose a plate with numerous elements, attractively assembled; nothing very complex, but everything fresh and vibrant. Our choices were:
One starter plate included bits of duck, smoked haddock, quinoa crisp, tomato, cucumber and avocado. The other included little scoops of crab salad (nice fresh flavor), Greek yogurt, peanuts, pearl pasta, and a couscous-like grain.
We both chose the main course of roast pork, with mushrooms, yellow tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, which was flavorful and rich.
Desserts were apricots with almond ice cream, and chocolate in a crispy wrapping (like a crispy spring roll) with banana foam and hazelnut ice cream.
A pleasant summer dinner in a relaxed friendly settting.

We had an enjoyable lunch here with friends. The ambience is a,little quirky but nice. The garden was very full, so a good sign that the locals enjoyed it there. The menu is a set menu with salad for vegetarians. It was lovingly cooked and served by a very cheerful waitress. The most exciting thing about it is the cost which was very reasonable. They also serve afternoon tea and coffee. We shall definately return.

We were here on Easter Monday, and had their "menu pacques" (Easter menu); three excellent courses for a very reasonable 29 Euros each. I had smoked salmon roulade followed by Beef Wellington; my wife went for a goat's cheese salad followed by a delicious fillet of cod. My wife's starter was a little overcooked, and the beef Wellington was very slightly the same way (I asked for it rare, and it was more medium-rare), but the quality was outstanding and these are minor criticisms. Overall, the food was fresh and delicious, and given this is a tiny rural village, it was extremely popular, which is surely reflective of its high standards. The degustation of three desserts was a perfect ending to the meal.
The service was relaxed but attentive and amicable, and since we like to linger over a meal out, the fact that nothing was 'instant' was a plus point for us.
Would highly recommend.
