We were motoring to Munich and we simply dislike the means, which the road side restaurants offer, so we always turn off the highway looking for those little gems in hideaways towns.
Landsberg am Lech was just such a place and by pure chance we ended up in this lovely Greek restaurant near the center. And while you are here, please do take the time and stroll this lovely town with beautiful houses probably dating back 400 years or so.
From the moment we set foot in this greek restaurant, we were attended in every way. The waiter did what waiters are supposed to do, but many fail to, namely to keep an eye on his guests all the time. The service was quick, friendly and correct.
We ordered some garlic bread, goat cheese and aubergine to start with followed by the mains, squid and the national dish, moussaka. The squid was fried to perfection and really fresh and tasty, and the moussaka was fresh and hot and plentiful. These portions were huge.
The restaurant is fairly big, but kept in a very nice style with plenty of space between the tables.
The town has a free wifi which lasts for an hour. After that they charge you.
We certainly got enchanted by this lovely old town and we are definitely going to return one day.

If you're in Landsberg you're already a winner just being there. If you're hungry and want good traditional local food in a charming restaurant with excellent service, you win again with a visit to Cafe und Weinstube am Hexenturm. You can sit inside the very plesant dining room or outside in nice weather. The menu is available in English. See their excellent website for pictures and menu selections.

Great place to eat, drink, and enjoy. This is a clear recommendation. I have been to the Nonnenbräu several times over the past months and must say that the quality of food and service was always at a constant very high level. There are 4 different areas to be seated - so you can go there casual, business with business partners, to celebrate, and even with your kids! I definitely will be back very soon - thanks for making my stay always such a pleasure!

Stopped here during an April blizzard on our way down the romantic road. Great food (traditional German with spaetzle and pork and kraut fritters). The service was great and the atmosphere very tavern-y with a large traditional green porcelain stove in the middle.

The staff is friendly and the portions huge, unfortunately they lay more importance on quantity than on quality. If you're really hungry and just need to get you belly full, this is the place to go but if you're looking for quality you'll have to go elsewhere.

Note that this is NOT in Landsberg, this is inside Finning. Address is fine, just the town is different. Back to the food, this is THE place to get the garlic soup. Best ever around Bavaria. Food is also great. Schnitzel + anything with pork is great. Beer is HoffBrau House so its just perfect!

The Cortina produces and serves the best ice cream in Landsberg, expect long wait queues on sunny days, especially on weekends. Need to be very lucky to get a free table or chair. Nice view to the Lech fall and Mutterturm.

Traditional Bavarian "Wirtshaus" with fresh Foods and good Beer!
The hotel’s dining room was sparely decorated but the service was very personal and helpful in guiding us to a delicious repast. We had thought to have a “snack” but enjoyed a complete meal at an extremely reasonable price. This was very much like "home cooking" but with much better results than your old auntie used to turn out. Sizeable portions too.
