Sitting in a valley in the Andes Mountains, La Paz is the city that touches the clouds. The de facto capital of Bolivia, and sitting between 3300 and 4100 meters above sea level, La Paz is the highest capital city in the world. Rich with 19th century churches, museums of artifacts from the pre-Conquest era, precarious overlooks, and colorful markets, La Paz is truly unique. The Witches’ Market, in the center of the city, sells charms and potions for Aymara rituals, as well as souvenirs.

VIENNA is a very European style restaurant offering traditional cuisine tastefully prepared and presented by attentive staff. Enjoy the excellent cuisine amid antiques, old prints and wood or relax over a drink at Vienna´s bar, listening to the music of famous Austrian composers. VIENNA, the renowned La Paz restaurant, assures you of a personal commitment to value and service.
Recommended by our guide. Went and then had to go back as it didnt open until 6pm. Lots of dark wood and like something from a bygone age but the welcome was friendly and the meal was very nice and very reasonably priced.

People, let's get real. A saltena is just an empanada, a pasty, a turnover. An excellent snack in the middle of a busy day. This little joint is just fine for a pick-me-up. Their food is good, quick, and the kids working there are nice.

•••• Welcome and Bienvenidos :) •••• Namas Té is about receptivity, respect, art, music, harmony, love, compassion but mostly it's about homestyle vegan/vegetarian cooking. We love what we do and it is very important to share this with everyone that decides to venture into our little oasis in the middle of this beautiful city. There are plenty of choices for veggie entrepeneurs in our food and drink menu all of which are presented in a fair accessble price. Our most popular 'feature' are the daily 'almuerzo' or set lunch menu where we offer a 4 course meal beginning at noon monday through saturday. Stop by and check out our art in progress plus join us for some yummy freshly made food - thanks for checking our Trip Advisor page, namaste! We are open monday - friday 8:30am - 7:00pm / saturday 8:30am - 4:00pm
I visited Namas Te with about an hour to burn. I ordered a drink and a snack and it was quite nice. The smells coming from the kitchen as they prepared other stuff for the day are what convinced me that Namas Te deserves another visit in the future.

Small, intimate restaurant with seasonal varied menu.
An incomparable dining experience inclusive of the gourmet dinner menu and presentation, bar, ambience, excellent service (it helps to speak some Spanish) and hugely light feeling on the wallet given the current foreign exchange rate. Try the Rendezvous house cocktails with Amperol (gin or spritzer) and trout sashimi as a starter. We came back again and the second night was as delightful as the first. (I am uploading some pics of some plates and a menu.)

Vinapho is the only Vietnamese restaurant in Bolivia and the food it offers is 100% Vietnamese. It is absolutely not any type of fusion and it is cooked with Vietnamese ingredients like Amomum Tsaoko and star anise. The menu consists of sauteed or fried noodles with veggies, a variety of meats or tofu, and our delicious Pho soup. We also offer a lunch menu for Bs35 from 12:00 to 14:30 and consists of a soup, spring roll (pork and shrimp), sauteed noodles with meat and veggies, cup of ice cream and a glass of natural juice.
We were thrilled to find this tasty Vietnamese close to our hotel and went twice. The spring rolls are on point and there’s a delicious selection of phos and stir fries for main course (special mention goes to the crispy tofu). Service is very friendly and efficient.

We serve Bolivian dishes in genuine homecooked Bolivian fashion. Simple, but fresh, delicious and served in a warm, welcoming and homely environment.
I am trying out Peter Habraken's restaurant Luciernagas in avenida Illimani 1683 here in La Paz. The peanut soup reminds me of grandma's home cooking and the chicken is so well cooked it melted in my mouth. Bread here is so fresh and soft it feels like it just came out of the oven! It was also a great pleasure to meet Peter, a very polite and affable host. Definitely a 5 star experience for me, highly recommend it.

Cultural events, an eclectic menu based on Bolivian produce and all in all a great place to work or meet people.
Finally tried this place out after loads of great recommendations.
The food was fab if not a little too on the expensive side. I really enjoyed my avocado Sandwich however, my friend had the moussaka and was greatly disappointed.
Other than that, the vibes were great, full of people chatting and laughing.
A lovely, local location with lots to offer.
Service was fast and friendly.
Would definitely go back for an Avocado Sandwich and the Bolivian red pale ale.

In the heart of the city of La Paz - Bolivia, is the Restaurant 1700, a single proposal and somewhat eccentric for domestic and foreign. We offer a varied food menu that fuses Bolivian and international flavors, such as fillet of smoked flame with passion fruit sauce, accompanied by five varieties of potatoes, and own the house drinks, all in an atmosphere of architecture of the Baroque period mestizo and artifacts between the walls envelop us in history, not only of La Paz, Bolivia but also of all.
Beautiful setting. Amazing cocktails. Great staff. Reasonable prices. We were also given some complementary local spirit and fruit to try which added to the experience. Great quality food. Would really recommend this one.
