Our restaurant is located on the highest point of cypresses. We are open from morning until night, all year round. During the summer we have tables and in our outer space where you can sit and have your meal in front of you having a panoramic view of the Ionian Sea accompanied by an amazing sunset.During the summer time, as advice we recommend if you want to visit us, and because the space in which we place our tables there are other restaurants around us, and many people are confused, it would be good for your service to ask which restaurant is the "PALIA AGORA". We are waiting for you to visit us and have a pleasant time.
The menu is not your bulk standard Greek food. It is different and delicious. We had a wonderful salad with shavings of a Greek cheese and some smoked ham, a cheese in filo with honey, chicken "flutes" and some sausages. Everything was just fab. We were too full to eat any more as the portions were huge. Thoroughly recommended. If (like us) you are on a boat in the harbour, go to the beach hotel (which also has a pool) and get a taxi (€4) up to the castle (worth looking at the view) then it's a short walk to the restaurant. About 20 mins walk back to harbour Downhill.

Delicious Greek cuisine with fresh local products, Greek salad with feta and messinian fresh olive oil, stuffed sardines with fresh tomato, fresh fish in a very logical price with lemon-oil. Kagianas a local dish and super taste egg plant salad. Excellent quick service by Kostas, gentle smile by Gianna the owner. Very clean surroundings with ambient atmosphere.

While the drinks are good and the selection more expansive than most places in Kyparissia the view is the real winner here. We went in the day time after exploring the castle for iced coffee and came back for the views and atmosphere at nice. Definitely one to make the effort for!

Kyparissia is an authentic Peloponnese town with a great central square where you can watch the world go by and a ruined castle on the hill with great views.
This is the favourite place to drink coffee and eat pastries in the town and is great for families with smaller children who can play safely on the local beach. Being a town beach it does have its fair share of washed-up garbage

Very quiet in June but felt very welcome. Just on the edge of the main square. The roast vegetables and hot cheese was fantastic. Meatballs were heavily minted which worked very well but quite fatty lamb shank. Fantastic value for money and lovely homemade wine.

There are a bunch of restaurants in line at Kalo Nero beach. We ate here twice. Food is fine, service little bit below average. First time it was quiet and there was only a young guy waiting tables. Very disinterested, looking at his phone more than his guest. The second time it was very crowded and there was an older guy waiting the tables as well, he was more friendly. Overall we liked the place next to this taverna better. Better food and very friendly staff.

I often visit Kyparissia since my Aunt lives in the town. I remember it as the best place for its sweet. Nevertheless over the past 2-3 years its sweets have not been as they used to be. Lot of butter and milky. Not the first choice for sure!!

This little gem with a lovely outdoor Seating area is conveniently located near the center of Kyparissia. Go directly to the kitchen where the young lad will guide you through the traditional fare. Select, sit and savour.
This was real home cooking without a doubt. The moussaka was a bit heavy on the bechamel topping and portions on the small side. Otherwise, you'll love this place.

The food is okay, it is a typical Greek tavern with typical services, you don't expect much. They did not offer a catalogue and in the end they didn't give a receipt tax evading as well in time of crisis for the country. The view is nice if you sit on the front. There are other restaurants on the same street with similar food you can try there as well.

In the historical area of Arcadia in the old town of Kyparissia, you will find our traditional greek taverna offering a wide range of traditional greek recipes. This include kokoretsi, kontosouvli, mousaka, tzatziki etc. All our foods are handmade based on the yiayia's recipes.
We visit Kyparissia every few years. I spend the time between longing for this food. The roasted pig, dakos, fried zucchini balls, horiatiki, garlic beets, and various other Greek dishes. This restaurant is my go-to for the best Greek food. I love it while I'm there and miss it while I'm away. Hands down, my favorite Greek restaurant there is!
