Restaurants uses widely the local ingredients. Along the favorite regional dishes, the restaurant offers special treats. Modern Finnish cuisine and quality wines. Restaurant has a dining hall and three cabinets: The Wine Cellar, The "skyscraping" Masto Lounge and The Top Terrace.
We were fortunate to eat here at New Year's Eve! Amazing food, warm atmosphere, amazing views, wonderful fireworks at 12! Organic champagne! On top of a mountain but definitely on top of the World! We could not have had a better night! Very great service! Want to come back in the day time next time we visit Ruka!

Studio Restaurant Tundra offers you aesthetic experiences and culinary pleasure in the form of a private restaurant, cooking courses and a professional ceramics studio. This charming studio restaurant is the realm of Chef and Ceramist Jarmo Pitkanen, whose unique gastronomy is founded on his long experience in kitchens all over the world.A meal full of northern aromas, at a table set with the designware of Tundra Ceramics Studio, in the idyllic North Finnish town of Kuusamo - an experience you will not forget!
We came here during a fishing trip in Kuusamo region. It was really a nice surprise, the food is excellent, recipes are coming from the Chef's international experience combined with local food, mostly fish of the region. The service is top class and location is unique. The price is not cheap, but you have to pay for such quality, of course. Strongly recommended.

again we ate prior to new years eve here with two children and although it was a little expensive the food and service were fab. It appears the restaurants in Ruka village probably because its a ski resort charge similar so its a matter of favouritism.

Most of the Restaurants in Ruka center were closer during the time we wanted to have lunch. However, restaurant Piste was open and we were actually positively surprised with the place.
Very tasty pasta and salad, fast and friendly service. Chocolate mousse desert very very good!

The atmosphere was really nice very comfortable, the staff very friendly and welcoming. The food was also really good, I had the sautéed reindeer which was very tasty followed by ice cream, the servings are very generous. The price average, no reason for complaint here, look forward to going back next year.

Yes the place was rather full when we arrived but it took over 1h to get the food. Quality was variable from less tasty to OK. We were group of 5 and were seated in table of 4. Getting the extra chair wasn't automatic action though. It was given after specifically requesting it. Level of service was way below the bar for this kind of place. Will not return

Colorado Mts. Bar& Grill serves you the biggest portions in Rukatunturi. Our bar shows all kind of sports and live music during the winter.Colorado is laid back and easy to come, like a livingroom.
Visited the bar here several times during our recent Christmas ski holiday in Ruka. Lovely traditional cosy bar right in the centre of resort just metres from the front slopes with rustic decor and a range of comfortable Seating from soft leather sofas and arm chairs to bar stools.
There are bar snacks such as nachos available or if you want something more filing the adjoining restaurant is highly recommended but seems to be very popular so would suggest booking a table in advance - good menu range including burgers, pizzas and ribs etc or more traditional grilled meats such as steaks and reindeer. Average prices for a main course in the restaurant if about 30 - 35 Euro per person.

Riipinen Wild Game is Riipinen's family owned restaurant. Restaurant has choosed the best wild game resraurant in Finland. We located only 300 metres of Ruka Village.
We have been visiting the restaurant at new years evening almost 10 years. Last year we were a bit disappointed but this year the dinner was very good. Mushroom soup as starter and reindeer file wit mashed potatoes was delicious and the traditional cranberries with caramel as desert was the top.
Service was good, although it took time to find our reservation. ( Reservtion is a must at high seasons.)

I'm not a fan of pizzas but our son is, so we went in for lunch. it was a great choice, the pizzas are very different, you can have classic style pizzas but the best are the other ones.. the Bangkok was brilliant ! Fresh ingredients, very friendly staff, it was a very good surprise to me and I would recommend to anybody to try it.

We stayed 4 nights here, which included breakfast and dinner. The owner/manager Matti was a delight with insightful ideas and experience. The breakfast consisted of vegetables, cheese, meats, fish, hot cereal, and some fruit. The dinner consisted of salads, meat/fish, and potatoes or pasta. Both meals were served buffet style. All the meals were good with some exceptional, especially the fish.
