This is my third time at Pedrina’s. We have a family tradition; we are going out for lunch at the Father’s Day. My children invite me and I pay. This restaurant has usually Tex-Mex food, but on Father’s Day they had a special pork and beef menu. The dish was very tasty and to a reasonable price. I will definitely come back.

This was our third visit within a year. We had a feeling that their menu had remained very similar during these visits. Actually it did not matter very much, since it was several months since our previous visit.
The restaurant is situated in nice basement premises which originally have been used as storages. The stairs down are a slight challenge if you have problems with your legs.
During our previous visits we have always been satisfied with food quality and this visit was not an exception. We had asparagus soup and blue-cheese garlic snails as starters, traditional escalope of Wanha Lyhty and fried salmon as mains and liqueur marinated strawberries with vanilla ice cream and icy cranberries with hot fudge sauce as desserts. All courses were well prepared and tasty. As you can notice, dishes are rather "traditional".
Only negative comment was that the service was a little bit slow due to the fact that most of the time there was only one waitress on duty.
As mentioned in the beginning, the menu seemed to be very similar to our previous visits, so I would hope to see some new dishes added on the list before our next visit...

This is a restaurant chain and I have tried many of the locations all over Finland. The restaurant is located in the Sokos hotel so it's perfect if you don't want to go out. This Tex mex restaurant is one of the better ones whit nice service and well done food. I eat the salmon whit sweet potato and scampi. Good size portion for 19.90 euro. They have taco, salads, meat and fish dishes so there is something for everyone.

Beautiful restaurant & guesthouse in 19th century wooden building in old part of town in Kokkola city center. Delicious fresh authentic nordic food, international wine selection and warm cozy atmosphere. Two unique guesthouse rooms. Treat your self with a hint of historic luxory!
Absolutely fantastic. Haven't spend night here, but had dinner. First of all, the service was excellent from start to finish. We felt very welcomed, even though we looked a bit rough after a long day and travel. Fish of the day was prepared perfectly, the meat dish of the day just melted in your mouth and wine recommendations were spot on. I've nothing bad to say about this place, best food I've had in a while. Fully recommend! Will visit again.

Despite being "just another S Group restaurant", the summer restaurant Mustakari was a pleasant surprise considering the food and atmosphere. The pepper steak I had was excellent, fresh vegetables were perfectly "grilled", excellent souce and the meat was perfectly medium! Loved the place and interior, friendly service. The hummer soup was also yummy.
The bad things: dirty toilets, as everyone from the harbour seems to use them all the time and no baby changing facilities at all; our waitress was very nice, but could not speak Swedish at all, which should not be possible in this area; and the last bad thing - coffee, no special coffees (café latte etc) are available and that is just ridiculous.

Tan Binh Restaurant Fabriksgatan 8, Kokkola is a little Vietnam in Kokkola. They could make the menu more Vietnamese style with noodle soups etc. Now you can find noodles and fried rice different styles. Food was fresh and service was nice. Kokkola is not a city for culinarism so I can recommend this place if you can't find better :)
