A country style restaurant with a spectacular view of the river and bush. We also have a venue for weddings and special events.
A very nice and busy restaurant and bar some 5 minutes out of Kenton on Sea. What a lovely meal we had, well served and in a very friendly atmosphere. The restaurant was very “child friendly” with a play area and table with games and crayons etc outside on the decking. Mine Host was very welcoming and his staff were really helpful and efficient.
Value for money and quality of food was first class, and the view over the river and beyond was beautiful.
Well worth a visit if in the area.

An outdoor restaurant in beautiful indigenous garden setting a kilometer out of Kenton on Sea on the Grahamstown Rd. The menu varies from traditional E. Cape rooster koeks and braais to excellent fish when available. Pizzas and Sunday roasts too. Just the place for a family as kids to relax as the children have space to play in the extensive garden. Typical Eastern Cape hospitality! Have visiting artists to entertain now and then in the evening. Also outdoor big screen film shows and Saturday Craft Markets - something for everyone.

Start your day with a coffee of choice while catching up on the news. The House Kitchen has the best view in town (you have to see it to believe it!) and offers delicious breakfasts, wholesome lunches and delectable dinners. For those with a sweet tooth, we are known for our irresistible cheese cake, served with berry compote and creme fraiche. We also cater for weddings, birthdays and other functions accommodating 65 seated guests or 85 casual guests, depending on your requirements.
We could not wait to return to this beautiful haven since our previous visit four years ago. Pollos Purdon has since added The House Quarters, providing beautiful accommodation next door to the restaurant. A spa was also added below the restaurant. The shop sells jewellery,...MoreDear Kardoesie, we are so glad you loved your visits with us ! We love what we do and it is so great to get your lovely response ! This restaurant is directly on the beach and the perfect place to relax in a friendly atmosphere. We visited there during the off-season and it was very quiet, but one can assume that it may become quite crowded during summer. The service was good and very friendly, the menu offers something for every taste and the prices are reasonable. Our pizzas were good.

Warm homely atmosphere with a variety of items on our menu. We specialize in scrumptious seafood, succulent ribs, great selection of burgers(home made patties) and pork belly. We have a vibey pub with a wall full of shooters that we like to improve, so your input is welcome. Our deck is the best place to have a sundowner or your meal as our view is fabulous. All our customers has access to our free wi- fi, so even on holiday you can still connect with family & friends. Big screen Tv's for all your sport needs. We accept master, visa & diners club cards.
Visited BBG's 8th April to have a couple of drinks and watch the rugby on their large screen in the bar. We were greeted by the bar server with a big smile, and generally a very friendly atmosphere. We did not eat there but were...MoreThank you so much for your lovely review.

The view and location are fantastic but unfortunately that's really where it ends, the food, service and fitout is decidedly tired and below average. It took 1 1/2 hours to get our food and when it came one of our group didn't get their meal. Specialist in seafood one would have thought that they would get the deep fried fish spot on but no, the batter was poor and clearly the oil not sufficiently hot when the fish was cooked. All in all, very disappointing.
Not a place to rush back to.

Lovely Restaurant situated in Kenton on Sea offering ogre at breakfasts, light lunches and fine ding for the evening at great prices
Our fiist experience was good. Excellent steak and chips and a Stroganoff-type dish were both delicous. As we were the only diners the service was good but not personal. Our second experience was a dissapointment. Service was slow and once again impersonal. My hamburger was good but my partners chicken wrap was filled with lots of cooked rocket and very light on the chicken (we counted five pieces!). Wewill most probably not visit again until we hear better reviews.

We are a family owned business, our focus is good food, good service, local art and a very child friendly restaurant catering to everyone's needs where possible. Our customer's always come first.
We went here with a group of 25 people for a preset lunch. Good food - excellent and friendly service. The restaurant is very spacious and the walls are lined with local works of art.. It is easily found beside the main road and there is good car parking. This is a very good restaurant for a group.
