ランチタイムには第2まである駐車場もすぐにいっぱいになってしまいます。店内は昔ながらの雰囲気でカウンター席が10席ほど、座敷席が4つあり、子連れでも1人でも気軽に入れるお店でした。ラーメンはとんこつ、塩、醤油から選べます。チャーシューが美味しかったです。

鹿児島で山椒のスパイスの効いた麻婆豆腐をいただけました。
鹿児島で中華というイメージがわきませんでしたが
辛い物を食べたいと訪問。
期待通りの麻婆豆腐で、スパイスがよく効いていますよ!!

東京にも進出した話題のアスリート食堂という事で楽しみに訪れました。平日の昼間にも関わらず結構な賑わいで活気を感じます。
ランチメニューは予想以上に肉や魚が豊富でタンパク質をしっかり取れます。もっとあっさりしたヘルシーメニューを想像していただけに、やはり鹿屋体育大学ならではの工夫だと感じました。野菜や海草などの副食もあり定食としては贅沢な感じです。味付けも濃過ぎず、量的にも大人でも充分です。
これなら栄養の片寄りも無く、栄養面での心配もいりませんね。

This is not a place you will find on your general travels across Japan. As it is, I was cutting across Southern Japan from Miyazaki to catch the ferry at Sakurajima when I got hungry. I randomly googled popular restaurants in Kagoshima and this name popped up. I think there are a few shops around in the main city center, but as this one was on the way to the ferry, I stopped there at lunch time. To be honest, I don't even know if the English translation is "takutei" but the kanji and location is correct. It is a tonkatsu restaurant (a cut of pork dipped in breadcrumbs and fried). It's nothing special, but it's a very, very solid and tasty lunch to keep you going on a long trip. Everything is in Japanese so it would be good if you spoke or read some. The menu is along the wall. I couldn't read it well as it was all pork dishes and I did not know what the difference was between them as they all looked the same when I looked around the room. I asked what the specialty was and the staff told us the 2 most popular dishes. One cut of meat was a little more fatty (1,100 yen) and the other was a healthy cut (1,200 yen). Along with your tonkatsu, you get a mountain of cabbage, pickles, a bowl of rice, extra rice on the side and a pitcher of water. There are various sauces as well. I was so hungry and it all disappeared in 30 minutes. I was the only woman in the restaurant which was weird. It's definitely a local place, with all the workers in the surrounding offices running here for a good lunch. I definitely recommend it, not only for the food, but to experience eating at a local restaurant. As you can imagine, they probably do not get many foreigners, so we got a lot of curious stares and I don't know who lost the janken match to take our order haha it was a cute lady who eventually came over to talk to us. I wish I could go back but it's a distance away. When we left, we got several kind good-byes, safe travels, and lot of smiles.

かつては養殖ブリのメッカであった古江港では現在ブリに代わってカンパチが養殖されており、朝に水揚げされたカンパチの刺身やアラが食べられます。カンパチの漬け丼もいけますが、特にアラの煮付けは美味しいですよ!
さらに深さのある錦江湾の深海で採れるヒメアマエビとナミクダヒゲエビのかき揚げも忘れてはいけない絶品です。

野菜がたっぷりで女性の方にもお勧めですが

Kai ten sushi. Best in town. You will have to wait 30 minutes or so on weekends. Local fish is kanpachi. Very good.

お店は高台にあるので、店内からは鹿屋市街地を見渡すことが出来ます。料理もさることながら、店全体の雰囲気が 上質。海産物を使った料理は、手の込んだ仕上がりで 見た目も味も すばらしい。旬で活きのいい魚をおいしくいただくことが出来ました。
