More like bar serving food. Service very slow - took us 50 minutes to get our meal even if there were not many guest dining. Plenty of people in bar, also many locals. Food was ok but dont expect any classy dining with tableclothing on Terrace.
Personally i preferred much more e.g. La Paloma or Casa Juani

Discovering this restaurant must be a valuable contribution to TripAdvisor's listing.
Located in the village of Rute, close to the National Park Subetica in the province of Cordoba, is worth your trip or deviation off the A45 at the sign Rute for an excellent lunch and meeting nice people.
The charm and quality are superb and certainly will last in your memory for a long period time to come. The food is as natural as the charming daughter of the owners in charge of the restaurant.
We tried several dishes and all were of top quality, prepared with care.
The dessert is signed by the cook as can be seen on the photo.

El Charcon - Excellent value for money and a wonderful range of traditional local food. This is our numero uno restaurante in the area, we always take friends and family there and recommend it to holiday makers. These two dishes are to die for, the parrillada de pescado (fish platter) and parrillada de carne (meat platter) to share along with other extras. Antonio the barman/waiter is a top bloke and good for a laugh, he speaks a bit of English and appreciates customers attempts at Spanish. Can't wait to return there soon!

We have spent many an hour sat outside Los Caminos enjoying a drink and a snack (lovely pizza) whilst checking our emails. It is a very friendly and popular meeting place and has a welcoming atmosphere. It is probably the closest bar and restaurant to Casa Pino Solo where we have stayed on a few occasions and which we would also highly recommend. Well worth a visit!

We are an English bar in the beautiful village of Iznajar, situated at the bottom of the village. We serve homecooked , freshly prepared traditional food, seved in a friendly comfortable , welcoming bar.

We were pleasantly surprised by the dishes we had here: the veggie red curry and the green chicken curry.
The Deserts lemon pud en sticky toffee pud were also nice.
The English owner was very friendly.
We sat outside ,but that meant inhaling a lot of exhaust gas.

Came here for lunch and to enjoy the peaceful views over the reservoir. Seabass was reasonable, but the cod with black rice was a little undercooked. There was only one other couple eating and there was a 'flatness' about the place, not sure how else to describe it. Although the waitress did her job, there was little warmth, all a bit mechanical.
However so beautiful were the views we went back of an evening to enjoy a sunset dinner - not to be - they don't make use of their stunning location with dinner only being served in the somewhat drab no-views inside restaurant in which no-one was eating- opportunities missed here.

Last visit this place was more of a snack bar. Now they have a larger menu, and it's really good. We ate here 3 times during our visit. Large portions of very nice food and incredible value for money. Even more worth a visit now.

This was a meal for a family with young kids. Great view and service but the food was very disappointing. Too salty, too many chip based foods, pasta carbonara inedible. A mixed experience which is a shame because of the welcoming staff and good location.

We have been in Iznajar for a week and this is the best food and service we found. Yes it is like windle island in sunny St. Helens. Yes the view is a mix of petrol pumps and Mountains. But if you like quirky, excellent food and excellent service (and cheap too!!) this is the place for you. Fab.
