Great service and excellent food in this family owned restaurant. On the backside of this restaurant you will find a typical "fronton" where you can play "pelota basca".
The interior of the restaurant is very cozy and elegant with fine white tablecloth, candlelight and a nice fireplace (used only in winter). The food and wine selection are great, maybe a little bit on the expensive side. We had a fantastic fresh "rodaballo" (Turbot) and also the "bonito" (finest tuna fish) were prepared simply (basque cuisine) and with love (perfect cooking: not a dry fish).
We recommend this restaurant for Families, friends and couples.

The Parador recommended this restaurant, which serves excellent fish.
I had mussels to start which were lovely but a huge portion, followed by the baked hake (for two to share) which was delicious. With a lovely Rioja Reserva. Happy days!
My friend had the liquid cheesecake ( because of previous reviews) and loved it.

Dined here on two consecutive nights. The menu provides excellent choice and is cooked, presented and served to perfection. Good wine list, too. The best fish soup my wife and I have ever had. Make sure you know where to locate the restaurant as it is in a residential area.

We ate dinner at Arroka Berri during our stay in Hondarribia. Both the setting and service were very good and food was reasonable but not outstanding. While the experience was pleasant, the food was not consistent with the expectations we had from previous traveller reviews.

Kupela is still a good restaurant and the food is great but recently seems to have changed from one of the classy restaurants in the village more if a Sideria. When you pay 40 or 50€ a head you expect linen tablecloths not bare tables. Be aware also if you don't finish your first course they don't bring the second until you ask... a shame as we have spent many a nice meal in there before.

Great pintox place, and a must try if you're in the area. I can't recommend it highly enough!
I had just done three days of pintox in San Sebastian and found this place on the way home.
It beat all our other experiences hands down! it's a must visit.

Have eaten here a number of times now when stopping at the Ibis in Irun. A busy, but friendly bar and two dining rooms which can get extremely busy with locals. Always have the Pulpo (octopus) for starter, this is a generous portion and could quite easily be shared between 2/3 people. have tried the mixed grill and also the roast pork. never failed to enjoy my visits and will definitely visit again next time I am passing through this part of Spain.

Excellent small restaurant where we ate twice in early September 2014 - local produce on a changing menu - mark of a good place where choice is limited to half a dozen starters/mains/desserts. stylish presentation of food - excellent fish soup, squid and prawns. Desserts all delicious. Nice outdoor Terrace and busy with locals - attentive service and good wine list e.g. Aydie Madiran
