Greek Club Iringa

Restaurant - Bar for breakfast and lunch, open to organize ceremonies and parties, Playground, Church.

The Greek Club is a bit pricey compared to nearby restaurants, but it's nice to have something different while traveling (especially fresh veggies). Friendly staff; there are also fantastic yoga classes held here three times a week. Classes can be viewed at iringayoga.com. To get there, pass the seventh day adventist church, take the first dirt road past the church on your right, and walk about a block; the club is through a gate on the left, next to another church. There's no sign, but it's a one-story white building.

Three of us visited Mama Iringa and each of us ordered different pasta dishes and shared a bruschetta. We were all pleased with our meals. The service was great and the atmosphere was terrific. I didn't finish my meal and the owner noticed and came to the table to make sure my meal was okay. I told her the gnocchi was delicious but I couldn't finish it. They have a wonderful gift shop that helps to support orphans. I thought the items were among the best I have seen here. It requires taking a taxi to get there but it is well worth it. We will be in Iringa for another week so plan to return.

The curries at this place are outstanding - plus you get two vegetables and a staple (rice or naan) with them. They're reasonably priced and you can take leftovers to go! The place doesn't have much ambience, but it's hearty, mouth-watering food and frequented by locals. The staff are very kind as well.

We visited in August 2013 and the place had lovely food and good service. It's not the cheapest place to eat in Iringa but it had very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The service was very good and we didn't have to wait long for our meals. There's also a nice area at the rear of the building where you can star gaze after enjoying your food.

Our restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes from various cultures. Its the first restaurant in Iringa with an outdoor shawarma and charcoal grill. We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner and can accommodate large parties as well. We also take catering orders. Our in house Bakery offers a wide range of breads, savories and cakes.

I went with some friends who had been taking dinner at this restaurant for a few nights, however not much has changed since my first visit after their opening.
First, though the menu is extensive, many items are not available. So you must make 3-4 choices before hitting one.
Second, after all else was not available, I chose the tandoori chicken which I thought was a safe bet, unfortunately it was undercooked (still raw on leg) and then it came back reheated & dry. The chips were not freshly cooked which overall made for a forgettable experience.
I would not dine in this restaurant again.....
