Enjoy the highest level menu made with the best quality ingredients. My favorites: Noisettes crispy sweetbreads cream burned leeks, potato chips "vitellotte" and black truffle sauce; egg ravioli "San Domenico" with mountain butter, fresh parmesan and seasonal truffles, sirloin of veal cooked at low temperature with sunflower seeds cream and Brussels sprouts. A tasteful food experience.

Since 1984, the Osteria del Vicolo Nuovo has offered wonderful years of great food and passion. The 17th-century rooms are dominated by the warm laughter of Ambra Lenini, professional sommelier and a born hostess, and the more discreet friendliness of Rosa Tozzoli. In the kitchen, Stefania, Miriam, Samira, Florina and Simona reign supreme: an all-female orchestra and a winning combination. Always lively, the tavern has even managed to transform the narrow street outside into a gastronomic stage and in summer, the magic is renewed daily. Traffic suddenly gives way to tables and sunshades for lunches or candle-lit dinners. Depending on the season, customers can begin with courgette flowers stuffed with Ricotta cheese from the Santerno Valley, spinach and squacquerone cheese tart, traditional select cold cuts served with piadina and fabulous baby octopus in extra-virgin olive oil. Then there’s hand-rolled fresh pasta such as tortellini in broth, tagliatelle with woodland Porcini mushrooms, strozzapreti with clams and baby cuttlefish from the Adriatic or Imola garganelli with local shallots and pancetta, as well as spelt soups and risottos, always very popular. To follow tasty meat dishes, in particular duck in Sangiovese wine, or fish from the Adriatic and delicious desserts, the tavern’s strength. These include zuppa inglese (a kind of trifle), custard filled cannoli with melted chocolate, zabaglione with fruit in syrup and exceptional torta sabbiosa (a type of sponge cake) served with mascarpone. <<<
Beautifully decorated old restaurant with a cellar full of all sorts of interesting items. Food and service is excellent, price is reasonable and Ambra is very entertaining - get her to laugh and try not to laugh with her !!!

The restaurant is located in the historic center of Imola and is located across the street of the same name, which formerly housed the workshops of the tanner, from the Latin 'callegarius'. The modern furniture, sober and elegant, enriched by statues Florentine terracotta and illuminated by soft lighting creates a warm and welcoming environment, edited by Arch. Franco Rosignolo that has created a twin in New York. To welcome you, Leonardo and Luke, while Antonio and Marco serves creative dishes in the kitchen and processed. Interesting selection of wines and spirits.
We went here with another American couple--good friends--and we were thrilled when we sat down and the host asked where we were from, and upon learning Calif announced that he had lived in San Francisco back in the 80s...Leonardo was the perfect host, and we had a great meal. The chef had also lived in the US, and came out and chatted with us. We split all 3 of the pasta dishes, which were excellent, and had bites of eachother's main courses, and desserts, so I can safely say that all the food, and the wine recommended by Leonardo, were great.
The decor is very modern Italian, sleek, but still warm. They also have a sister restaurant called Vice Versa on 51st in NYC, so for those of you near there, go check it out!

Local tastes, local product and a small restaurant to enjoy a very good offer. Better to reserve a table as many people come from surroundings to live the atmosphere of an old place, making food as it has to be done.
Pasta (fresh) cannot be missed and also grilled local meat.
Personnel is really kind.

Osteria con cucina tradizionale romagnola... ti sembrera di andare a cena dalla nonna...
We just did not know this place till some local friends brought us here for lunch. There is a big garden outside, then a simple cafe and passing by the cafe you enter the restaurant.
Food is great, like wine, and prices are clean and cheap. We had fresh pasta, mushrooms and meat in quantity.
Better to reserve if sunday or just holiday time.

Ristorante tipico situato in palazzo del 1700 nelle cantine del palazzo che risalgono al 1300 nel centro storico di Imola cucina tipica con grande selezione di etichette sia nazionali che estere
I lived in Imola for a couple of years and this place has always been within the top list of my favorites. The location and the atmosphere is one of the winning points of this place. Food is equal. Attention for the ingredients (meat especially is really good) and receips that are always presenting something new or never tasted. Wines are incredible and the list is huge. It costs a bit, but you know that you are paying for quality of the things you're gonna eat and drink.

If you are looking for ice cream and nothing more, Cremeria Emilia is not the right place. I liked their ice cream, but I would never say to a friend: “you must try this!”, as it is an average ice cream. However, as I used to pass in front of it everyday when I was in Imola, I decided to try other things. They make ice cream desserts, and they are quite good. They are beautiful too, and I kept the coffee ice cream’s cup as a souvenir.

All food was of excellent quality and clearly home-made, served by very welcoming staff. One of the best typical food restaurants I have been in the area. The house wine was acceptable. The place is family owned, so expect to be treated like one of the family. Which means also being addressed directly for anything (...part of the atmosphere and a plus in my opinion).
