Our guide recommended this restaurant for lunch on our first day in Hampi! The food was excellent. In fact we liked it so much we ate lunch there everyday whilst staying! We were booked to stay in Hampi but a few weeks before arrival all hotels were shut down but our resourceful guide booked us at Ananya Comfortss in Hospet which was good. Have read that the ambience was better when The Mango Tree was by the riverside, but for us it was great in its present location! Can recommend the thali ofcourse and the banoffee pie which was super! Well worth a visit..

This is an only breakfast place. They start around 8am and go on till 12-1.
Nice open air outdoor Seating. And hot hot dosa. Fresh and yummy. Chutney is also nice. Coffee too.
Best part.. Everything to eat is priced at Rs 30. And tea coffee is for 15 bucks. So the math is also simple.
Really enjoyed having breakfast here.
Its in the lane in front of mango tree restaurants.. Perpendicular to the mango tree Lane.

Pro:
Good Indian food (long list, be prepared)
The person taking the orders is ready to suggest proper combinations. Maybe a little rigid insisting on what is starter and what is main course. But that will help.
Absolutely reasonable prices.
Good beer (beware unexpected dry days by that is not their fault)
I was there in a dry day and I had very good masala tea.
Cons:
Generally too spicy for the delicate ones!!!!!
Remember to recommend to have your dish NON spicy. The optimal result is not always guaranteed. They have also a few non spicy dishes.

Having heard about it a lot, i paid it a visit when i was in Hampi. It is located in the interiors a bit. The view is quite amazing though. You can spend hours without doing nothing and enjoying the view. I was just disappointed by the service. We had ordered a pizza, and they took like 1 and a half hour to deliver it. It was pretty decent. It is a very good place to chill, good vibes

Visit Hampi in a car/cycle as the complex is very huge and can not be seen by walk. Visit in the months October to March, summer is very hot.Don't miss the pond with spectacular steps in the Mahanavami Dibbah.

Had a nice stay here with all applicable amenities available but it does not come for cheap for the quality of service being offered. They offer a pick up and drop from Hospet too. The restaurant is noteworthy as the food served is delectable. All...Morethank you anson....

Funky Monkey is a high quality restaurant that serves a large variety of foods from Indian to Italian to Israeli and much more. It is situated in above Netra Guest house Hampi and overlooks the water and the town of Hampi. It is owned and operated by Shiva Kumar who is a qualified chef specializing in high quality a la carte meals.
One of the few restaurants in Hampi. Food itself is good - mostly continental. Interesting set-up with games on the table. Seating is on mattresses. Overall nice ambience overlooking the Tungabhadra. Good service. Only grouse is the amount of time for service. Took 75 minutes for a fried rice and paneer tikka. On the pricier side just like everything else in Hampi.

WAVES an elegant open air Restaurant & Bar provides a perfect setting to enjoy world class cuisine. Overlooking the Grand outdoor pool, it offers plenty of comfortable Seating in a humidity controlled environment, with floor to ceiling speaking the same language of waves. It is the ideal place to watch the world go by while sipping a favourite drink from the exotic array of beverages that are on the menu.
The Non-Veg restaurant and bar is part of the Malligi resort hotel.
It is open on one side and the back has a view on the hotel pool. The staff is friendly and helpful and the prices are average for a hotel restaurant.
The food is good, but unusually spicy - even for India. We had lots of spicy food on our trip through India (obviously) and I always like to go for the really spicy stuff, but in this restaurant even the seemingly mild items (like Manchurian) are very spicy. Only try the Vindaloo, if you really mean it. I know that vindaloo is one of the most spicy dishes and I had lots of them (even in Goa where it originates from) but I never had one that was so spciy.
