I tried almost all the restaurant in town and this is the best one. The food is modern and very tasty but not pretentious. The service is is friendly and attentive. Good atmosphere. Unlike many other restaurants they are not trying to impress the customers with a mile long menu, still leaving the customers with plenty of choice. The standard of the food is definitely above the rest of the town. Cannot wait to go again.

We went to this restaurant by car because it is about 15 minutes far from Szeged city centre but it worth it!! this place is friendly and cozy for couples, families, kids with comfortable seats and traditional design. Staff are very nice and took order and brought our food as fast as they could! we ordered two different fish soup which were very delicious, also the bread was fresh. it is very smart that they give you BIBS! so when you are eating soup which it has paprika in it, your clothes won't be full of red stains :)

Best place to eat in Hodmezovasarhely. Large selection of meat and fish dishes. Attentive service. Good desserts. Try chicken on mustard sauce.

We went to the Bandula for a few meals during our stay in Hodmezovasherly.
The salmon and carp was very nice but the grilled vegetables which you pay extra for were tinned or frozen. This is not the kind of vegetables I expect to be served in a restaurant.
We tried the chicken soup but that was just like an oxo cube mixed in water with pasta at the bottom of the bow with a few slices of chicken on top. Not very good.
Would I go back - probably if fresh vegetables were served with the meals as the service was very good.

Hordo's captured a chess motif that seems odd on the surface but makes a great place to meet, eat and be merry. I spent 2 months in H-hely back in 2011 and made a return in 2016 for a quick stop. I'm happy I stopped in for a bite. The pizza selection is comprehensive, prepared to order and presented fresh from the oven. This has stayed true since the last time I was there.
For ambiance, the cellar enhances the intimate setting and ensures you hear your table conversation and not the others tables around you.
Prices can't b beat
Great job guys, hope it is not another 5 years before I return.

The Fekete Sas used to be part of the Fekete Sas hotel and as such, one of the traditional meeting places in town. Today, it preserves the dark, wood-paneled look, with booths and tables and most importantly, reasonably good coffee, tea and other refreshments. The cafe also serves breakfast, sandwiches, salads, pastries and ice cream. There is a full bar. The furnishing is quite traditional, the ambiance friendly and it is a good place for a bite before or after the show.

Très bel endroit pour déguster de bonnes glaces à l'ombre des tilleuls, le long de la rue piétonne.
