Spot a tourist in New York, and chances are you can’t be sure exactly why they’re in town. Broadway? Shopping? A quest to find the world’s best bagel? It’s anyone’s guess. At Giza, though, it’s pretty simple—travelers come here to see the Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. (Editor's note: Our list was compiled before political unrest prompted many countries to issue travel warnings for Egypt. Everything about the Birdcage is pure Thailand, from the exotic water feature at the door to the authentic etiquette displayed throughout your meal. What will really transport you across the continent; however, are the sizzling sounds and enticing aromas from the open kitchen, where Chef Narong creates Thai specialties such as Garlic Pepper Shrimp, Cashew Chicken and Crispy Rice with Peanut Sauce.Location: In the Semiramis InterContinental Hotel - 2nd level Services: Lunch | Dinner

Sabaya may be rooted in Lebanese tradition, but Chef Nasser Makhoul is willing to branch out with contemporary flair. Mezzas are the magic of the menu, with hot and cold options including Kebbe Nayye, Stuffed Vine Leaves, Hommow Bil Awarma, Makanik and Cheese Manaqish. In accordance with Lebanese custom, you’ll be brought to the lounge for after-dinner tea, sweets and conversation.Location: In the Semiramis InterContinental Cairo Hotel - 2nd level Services: Lunch | Dinner
As a Lover of lebanese Food I tried Sabaya. There was a warm welcome, seats are a little bit unconfy and lights are not very good - (I like to read whjen dining alone) I orderes dthe menu with hot and cold mezze, served with a plate of greens and herbs and the plate was quite big for one. Main course was a mixed grill, diferent meats, sauces nice pita bread . Unfortunately the main course came to fast, then the whole meal got cold. Portions are too big. It's enough for two people. Pepermint tea was lovely. Service was good all the time

Andrea has been a family business for over 40 years who moved to New Giza october 2015, where you can enjoy a better view with elegant architecture of Omar Rateb Design, the origin of the original chicken charcoaled in oregano abundant marination which can be served in half chicken portion with bones or boneless (full chicken) or skewers of small pieces of chicken. Quails are also available. The pre-main dishes are a great variety of starters that Andrea is also famous for, small round freshly baked bread is also one of the good memories this restaurant leaves for any kind of visitor. The chickens and quails are grilled by the entrance, so you cannot miss the vast barbeques on your way in or out. Andrea is a vast outdoor restaurant that also has an indoor area. The food has been traditionally served for the past four decades without ever missing a beat. So the food quality is constant. It is a casual place open for brunch, lunch as well as throughout the day until dinner. It also serves wine and beer. It has home Delivery and no other branches in Cairo, though there are a few other places named Andrea that have nothing to do with this genuine and original location. It has only one branch on the Mediterranean coast at the gate of a famous compound named Hacienda, but you do not need to enter the compound to enter the restaurant that has a street entrance.
Best family breakfast in town. It was after years of going to Andrea with the family for the grilled chicken that I found out about the Breakfast. Amazing menu of feteer meshalteet, eggs with pastrami, foul, falafel and white cheese. The freshly baked bread is out of this world.
A must try but you have to call in advance to book.

We picked up some tamiya and chicken shwarma here after visiting the pyramids and en route to Memphis and Saqqara. Wow, they were both so good! For two tamiyia/falafel sandwiches and one chicken shwarma Sandwich it was less than $2 and it was so flavorful. The tamiya was super crispy on the outside and was great. Perfect for a quick lunch!

The Grill presents the unique flavors of contemporary, traditional & brasserie French cuisine in an elegant ambience overlooking the Nile. Discover every Friday the Grill’s kitchen secrets for dinner at a great price.
If you're one of those who love meat as much as I do, then you'll fall in love with The Grill, at the Intercon Semiramis.
I recommend the Wagyu servings, it melts in your mouth like butter and honey.
It's good value for money. You'll most probably spend less than 1K Egyptian pounds for 2 people, with a glass of wine each.
The King Salmon on bone is a must for those who love fish. They got you covered! From the sauces to the way they make their fries. It's a meat lovers paradise! Certified as one of Cairo's best kept secrets.
Only the best,
Lucas Raven

The Night & Day is buffet dining a la minute at its finest. Chefs wait at their cooking stations to prepare fusion fare to order. The Asian station offers dim sum and Sushi, wok and Teppanyaki specialties, the grill station is where you'll go for Oriental and Tandouri items and the pasta and noodle station is just right for lighter bites. Salad, cold cut, carving and dessert stations complete the feast. Check out the Big Friday brunch for only $26 Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Located in the lobby area of the Intercontinental Semiramas this restaurant serves buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The breakfast is excellent with good choices of western and Egyptian foods-- The fresh baked Egyptian Bread rolls were high on my list. Also the selection of fresh juices were great.
I did also eat there one night for dinner-- again well presented and tasty food.

If you are doing the Pyramids plus Sakkara tour with a small group, ie 1 to 4 people, there is a fair chance you might end up here for lunch.
It certainly beats the dreaded buffet lunch destinations but don't expect culinary nirvana.
The food is somewhat "gringo-style" in that they downplay the herbs and spices that make true Egyptian food interesting.
Overall no problems, but nothing special.

"Breezy and sunlit, Carlo’s Restaurant & Café is located outdoors on the Terrace offering fine Illy’s coffee, fresh juices, seasonal salads, sandwiches and light meals. Or just enjoy a Shisha (Hooka) with a spectacular Nile view. Carlo’s also hosts special events like the World Cup games on it’s large outdoor screen.
Carlo’s la pacha boat restaurant & cafe located in Zamalk area, it’s outdoor in the Terrace but they close the roof when it needs.
They have a really delicious different types of food, plus a nice coffee and snacks.
They serve Shisha.
They put a huge TV screen. So people can enjoy the football games with their friends.
Every time I am in Cairo I have to go there at least once.
For the parking there it’s not easy but they have valet parking.
I recommended visiting the place.
The only low point is the service is not that good.
