Traditional Italian family runs this restaurant with tasty food and excellent pizza in wood oven. If you are in Freising come and visit us.
Italian family-style restaurant and pizzeria located in a neighborhood on the edge of Freising. You will need a good GPS guide to find it but it's worth it. The owners and wait staff all speak German and Italian. We had two very good pizza from their wood-fired oven and it was very close to what we find in Italy where we live. We were seated near the two young Italian guys making the pizza and they surprised my teenage daughter by forming her pizza into the shape of a heart. That's Italian!!!!!

A really very good Indian restaurant with a good menu choice and really first class service. They have specials on Monday night for ladies and is usually very busy then. This visit is Tuesday and quite busy inside with everyone enjoying themselves.

Tucked away in a quiet courtyard, Katy's Steakhaus is a cozy place for romantic dinners or casual business discussions. The menu is quite extensive and should please all visitors as it includes great salads, vegetarian burger and other delicacies.
As it was my first visit, I tried Katy's Deluxe Burger which comes with crispy (I mean it) sweet potato fries, a nice crunchy bun (not one that breaks when you bite into it), with a generous aged beef patty, bacon, red onions....
Flavour was quite nice, all came hot with a nice smile.
There is also a nice selection of wines by the glass if you feel like not ordering a bottle.
Pricing is acceptable and easily supports the good quality of the food.
I will try the place some more (I have seen a plate of ribs served at the table next to us... looked really good too).

Weihenstephan is the oldest brewery in the world and has its own university for Brew Masters -- they also have several restaurants on location. I visited the Bräu-Stüberl which is a small quaint room (restaurant) on the first floor (in German: Erdgeschoss) and also the Stephanskeller which is a larger restaurant on the first floor as well. It is a rustic place with brick stone arches. The menu is the same in both places, however, I would prefer the more cozy Bräu-Stüberl.
I had a Schweinsbraten (Bavarian pork roast with dumplings) and on another occasion a Schweinshaxen (pork knuckle). Both dishes are classic Bavarian meals and both were excellent. Great taste and a nice crust.
Beer-wise I had a sampler which comes with 3 beers in miniature glasses: a wheat beer, a dark Doppelbock Korbinian, and a Helles / Festbier. However, afterwards I decided for the Vitus single-bock beer. It was a recommendation by a friend. And that beer is one of the best if you like beers with a low IBU (equals less hoppy) -- this one has IBU 17 which brings it in the area of wheat beers and it is comparable to those.
The day we visited the service was friendly and fast.
I would recommend this place and next time I would also make a reservation for the brewery tour.

The Hofbrauhaus-Keller is located just behind the Count's Hofbrauhaus. We combine traditional cuisine with creative ideas and quality with culinary delights. Our restaurant is well known for a cuisine with regional requirements. In the stylish ambience of our restaurant we serve both well-tried and fresh culinary ideas. In addition to the guest rooms and the Brauerstube, are a hall for company and family celebrations up to 150 people. In summer, a Terrace and a large beer garden under chestnut trees offers plenty of space to enjoy the proverbial Bavarian way of life.
The restaurant with a big beergarden in the backyard is located on a hill. Its surrounded by big trees which gives the yellow building a kind of romantic appearance. Unfortunately the food was not what I expected to get in such a nicely furnished restaurant with lots of tables in bavarian style. The bread-dumplings looked is if they were made the day before and the cheese-noodles in a forged little pan did not contain any cheese. However, when I advised the waitress to this, she asked the cook and told me that he did everything right. No excuse, no little something. It looked like it was our fault. I cannot recommend this restaurant, even though it looks nice.

Chips are only served while in season, and the curry sausage is second to none. Good beer, nice atmosphere, and there's even a foozball table in the back. Don't try to be a hero and order the hottest level of curry... it's not worth it...

We went on our last night in Germany because our hotel suggested it as there weren't many other places open on a rainy Saturday night. They created us on arrival with two complimentary shots of ouzo which warmed us right up. The portions are large and we enjoyed tasty dolmadas with excellent sauce, nice fresh salads, and split an order of moussaka. They also served us complimentary dessert. Nothing to complain about and seemed to be popular with the locals.

Ended up at Da Tony by coincidence, but did not regret. Great food, great atmosphere and friendly service. Not a lot to chose from, but good quality and a homemade touch on the dishes. Would have liked a wider selection of wines. Also a very affordable place. Recommended!
